Agree about Cast No Shadow, of course it's good song, but it's annoyingly repetitive at times.

Cast No Shadow Girl in the Dirty Shirt The Meaning of Soul I think those would be my choices as well.. They're songs I'm always tempted to skip.

Go Let it Out D'You Know What I Mean Whatever I can see why you should like them songs because they are brilliant songs! People not liking DLBIA, CNS, CS and so on, stop trying to be different and admit that you really love them songs

Falling Down... to me, it's a yawn fest. Lyla... the song is great live but the album version is nothing special imo, it gets overrated by a lot of "fans". Part of the Queue, boring, lacks the Oasis sound i fell in love with and it gets hailed by some as some sort of masterpiece, that only makes me dislike it even more.

FITB
Everyone really likes it, and I guess I can kind of, sort of see why. But it does absolutely nothing for me. I much prefer the band to come out to Swamp Song - such swagger and fullness about that one.
Like how cool do they look playing Swamp Song as the intro to Maine Road 96? Iconic. FITB is boring in comparison.

Here are 3 I think I will take a lot of flak for. Now I don't hate them, but I don't give them the love most here would give, so I guess I can say I feel they are overrated more than that I don't like them.
1. Cigarettes and Alcohol
Yes an iconic song on the iconic first album. But it just doesn't do too much for me and its one of my least favorite on the album. I still like it much better than the bottom of the barrel stuff (PYMWYMI, ICSAL, FON etc) but its just a very average/meh to me when I know its easily in many people's top 15.
2. Supersonic
Dare I go to DM again? Like C & A, I find it a bit overrated, but I like it better. But, the live version is way better than the album version. The one from 1995 (The one on Rock Band) is awesome and I feel a song like that needed to be faster paced like the live version. The album version is a tad too slow/dull.
3. Little By Little
Now I know more people will agree with this one. But I can't explain why I don't like it, there's just something about it... I felt this whole album was Noel's low point as I really only like SCYHO and THT, and even those aren't top 20 songs for me. FON, LBL, SIL, PAITM are poorer efforts on Noel's part (though his b-sides from this era were great). This is one album where I can say Liam, if not outshines Noel, at least matches him. I love SB, I really like BOADC and ya BM is very average.

I definitely get what you're saying about Supersonic being just a tad too slow. but unlike you i still love the hell out of that song.
About LBL, some people love it, i don't know of anyone that truly dislikes the song(other than you), but it's not all that great imo.

Morning Glory-I know I quite like it but I never play it for some reason if that makes sense Step Out-It's catchy but it doesn't feel like Oasis for me, it's a bit pop-like I think C & A-Great live but find myself skipping the song half way through when listening to the album

Hello Cast No Shadow D'you Know What I Mean? - Hello is probably my least favourite Oasis song, terrible production and a rip off melody. Does anyone else think that it sounds like Blondie's 'Call Me'? - I love the Goal! version of Cast No Shadow but the album version is too repetitive. I don't think that Liam's super-hard vowel layerings suit the song's dynamics. I prefer Noel singing it. - I love DYKWIM until it gets to the first pre-chrous then I switch it off. It's too generic and boring, the choruses are just so lazy, but the intro and verses are monumental. 2. Supersonic Dare I go to DM again? Like C & A, I find it a bit overrated, but I like it better. But, the live version is way better than the album version. The one from 1995 (The one on Rock Band) is awesome and I feel a song like that needed to be faster paced like the live version. The album version is a tad too slow/dull. You're high or perhaps crazy. I don't care which. The slow-motion lethargy of Supersonic is what makes the song, that recording is just perfect. But each to their own

1. Let's All Make Believe: Agree that this should be on SOTSOG, but I just don't think it's the masterpiece people make it out to be, or that it could have "saved" that album. Much prefer SIOL or WPTWOTWOMS if you're looking for post BHN b-sides that should have made the albums.
2. I'm Outta Time: Dread this song-dreary, plodding, gets worse with every listen. Goes beyond Lennon tribute or even worship-this is necrophilia.
3. Half The World Away: Don't hate it. Think it's a nice little tune. I just don't think it's all that great, and shouldn't be elevated to the status of true b-side masterpieces like Listen Up, Fade Away, etc. Docked a notch for the opening line-so precious and cute it makes me want to listen to speed metal.

Lets All Make Believe really is that good. Should of been on the album, and in my mind it is on there.
Probably their best bside, or at least in the top 5 bsides

As Noel rightly said once, Supersonic is just right, not too slow and not too fast. I think it's at the perfect pace, seriously love that tune. If it was any faster it'd ruin it, perfect song. edit: Just seen what BlueJay wrote, yep exactly.

Ah Supersonic is great the way it is, the slow pace is just infectious and Liam sings it with self-confident.
Yeah Shakermaker is quit boring, but the part: "I'm sorry but I just don't know...", saves the song for me.

Agree, Shakermaker has some quality parts to it.
Same as Hey Now, the verses are class on it but the chorus is damn annoying.

Go Let it Out D'You Know What I Mean Whatever I can see why you should like them songs because they are brilliant songs! I don't 'not like' any of them really, but have never been able to place them up with where everyone else does. Especially D'You Know What I mean, - I pretty much like Magic Pie just as much as it. Yeah, arrogant, slow, controlled powerful ...I'm feeling Supersonic, give me gin and ...shit. Whatever, not too bad, but I never really got into it without an album to back it up. And Go Let it Out by no means is bad, but isn't near being up there with Gas Panic, Lyla, hell, even Guess God Thinks I'm Abel IMO.

Yeah fair enough, I suppose the amount of great songs they produced makes this topic very debatable. I can kind of see why you might not really rate Go Let it Out and Whatever but D'You Know What I Mean is easily in my top 5 but its each to their own as people love saying on here.
