Yay, that means he might actually come to NY. I may live to see a Oasis/Noel performance.

World tour? Now that's good news. I simply HAVE to see him if he comes anywhere near Munich.

Finally, someone from the Oasis days chooses Team Noel. I would presume Jason will roadie for him and The High Flying Birds too.

Well they do have the same management, after all.
But I feel like Noel is a more seasoned touring act, because he has gone off on his own several times before to play the acoustic gigs. He does have a little bit more of a base than BDI.

He does have a little bit more of a base than BDI. Noel certainly has his name going for him for instance, like if Liam would've gone by 'Liam Gallagher' he'd at least have gotten more attention because people know him, at least a little bit in america still. they don't know BDI, all they think is 'who's BDI? what a stupid name.' unless Noel's album is surprisingly well-recieved, he'll do the 'BDI' tour, 'bare minimum whilst capitalizing and making money, not being too ambitious, playing it safe as to not hurt one's pride.' i love you all. God bless.

Noel might very well do more.
He has the same management but he has a different American label. Key differences in that he is staggering the album release in the UK and US so as to presumably be in the US an promoting when it drops. So already we know he is tackling the US a bit different than BDI did.

God bless.

But there's no doubt Noel is very media savvy. With the right kind of promotion he *could* make some kind of splash in the US. He can't singlehandedly do it though, he needs proper support and $$ from the label.

But radio promo doesn't cost that much...if anything. An interivew and a live session is great promo for the artist and a boon for the radio as well. And if a radio station agrees to promote a show in a particular city he could surely sell out a string of small venues across the country. I think working in concert with radio is the way to go personally.
But I don't know that much about PR either. I am probably missing a key cost.
I just hope he does it properly on the live circuit because then hopefully he'll get near enough for me to see a show!

Columbus would be great, and Oasis played Columbus during the SOTSOG tour. there's so many perfect venues in Columbus for Noel and BDI shows. fuckers!!!!!!!!!

There was a gig in Cleveland during the DBTT tour, where people lined up to try and give Liam hugs after the show. It was hilarious.

If I could see Noel twice within 5 months, that would be beyond incredible. Hell, even if he only does the 930 Club in DC would be great. I love you all, God bless.

I'm totally taking a flying trip to the States if there aren't any dates announced initially in Vancouver.
I may never see BDI...but by god I will see Noel solo!

If the BDI tour is any indication, there will probably be a date in Vancouver some time next year. And if there isn't, Noel will probably do a gig in Seattle and that's easily driveable!

I'm hoping with the fact that he is delaying the N. American release 3 weeks from the UK one he'll be doing his east and west coast dates @ the same time. In which case I'd expect there to be a Vancouver date. If he is playing both Vancouver and Seattle...I'll go to both if I can!

I'm really hoping he makes a stop in Las Vegas. If not, I'll seriously consider going to LA just to see him.
