Could that maybe be the artwork for the single on the 22 page? A picture with Noel standing on the street, and the title "The Death Of You And Me" on it.

Could that maybe be the artwork for the single on the 22 page? A picture with Noel standing on the street, and the title "The Death Of You And Me" on it. I'm about 99% sure it is, the NME lists it as the artwork in the caption. Pretty sure we'll get this tune then before August then. Also quite a nice read, fair play to Noel in what he says regarding Beady Eye and the end of Oasis, he is obviously angry at what happened but also very honest about the last 18 months.

That cover art is nice!
Noel throwing a little more fuel on the Beady Eye/Liam fire here as well. I can only see this picking up as he does more press.
The stuff about the chart positions was pretty interesting. I'm surprised he even entertained the idea that Beady Eye singles would go in like Oasis singles. I don't think any of us predicted that when they came out, did we? Oasis was an established brand. You never see spin-offs as successful as their origins out of the gate like that.
Anyway...i suppose we're in for some Noel vs. Liam bickering now...

So Noel knew The Morning Son since 2006 and nearly put Millionaire on DOYS. Also, the way he talks about them, he doesn't actually dislike BDI - he says the Roller could have been a mega Oasis hit.

Fucking hell, Noel is talking some nonsense when he's talking about singles and being surprised that Beady Eye's singles haven't charted high. He, or someone close to him, has to realise that the Oasis b-sides were fuelling sales right up to the point where these tracks could be brought individually and unless he has a radio hit, his singles (especially the ones which come out after the album has been released) will chart roughly the same as the Beady Eye ones. If Noel is expecting 3 or 4 top 5 songs he's in for a massive shock.

Anyway...i suppose we're in for some Noel vs. Liam bickering now... Please no, I'm sick of it already Really digging the cover art for the first single! Bonkers could be right, those letters on the cinema above Noel could be lyrics, anyone able to read them? And why have we still got no release date?? After a press conference AND an exclusive interview with a picture of the singe artwork?? The mind boggles!

Well, there goes my theory that Noel would be too media-savvy to get into a slanging match with Liam. Cannot believe how he could actually let it happen that all the major quotes (even the cover!) are about Liam + slagging him off in some way. I really thought that Noel would actually try to steer the conversation away from Liam and BDI. Especially because having constantly to answer Liam-related questions seemed to piss him off so much during Oasis last years. This is not the best way to stop journalists asking, but whatever. The Andy Bell story is also not particularly convincing. I can't really believe that he got that angry about Andy's behaviour in Paris but apart from that they're cool. There must be more to it than he's saying here. Plus his reason for leaving off Millionaire from DOYS sounds stupid to me. If he said it didn't fit the mood/flow of the album I could understand that, but critizising a specific line in the lyrics as cringeworthy?!? Don't go there Noel, seriously One interesting thing for me was that he specifically mentioned Steve "I threaten people" Allen as someone who has a negative influence on Liam. I always thought that Noel probably doesn't get on with him. Other than that we just know for sure now that both Gallaghers can be childish, immature and unreasonable. But I do like the cover art for the single. And I hope we get some great music soon!
