Anybody have this on CD? Even if it's a bootleg? Yes, I have it.

^^ Would that be the Feel The Noize bootleg? That's one of the cd's I have it on. Perhaps I've got it on a few more, I'd have to check my bootleg collection first. By the way, thanks for making this topic. I've "re-discovered" this song now that I saw this thread. A nice little summer tune indeed

Crikey! I'd only heard the "messy" version as well. That is much better Isn't it? Wow. I'd heard all kinds of different versions over the years, and the cassette copy of that NME tape, and always thought Noel's vocal was meant to be distorted. But this is stunningly clear.

BBH is great..!
Fuck it, I still miss the old days when Noel could seemingly spunk out 3 minute bundles of utter joy at will.
Ref. Bonehead's Bank Holiday, Whatever, It's Good to be Free, Some Might Say, Step Out, Round Are Way, Roll With It, It's Better People, Rockin Chair etc etc.

This was definitely remastered for the recent WTSMG vinyl reissue. I heard that version recently and was blown away by the differences between that and my original WTSMG vinyl / NME tape (both of which I have).
Great, fun song!

Any way I could get a copy? I'll see if I can upload it later. I think it's just a vinlyl rip, not sure though. The bootleg is called "The Non-Album Tracks" by the way.

Wow, those rips are as bad sounding as I remembered them. I've got an original tape and it sounds just as bad. Could be track have been mastered this awfully originally and only tidied up for the vinyl re-release a couple of years back?

. However, there are some early CD versions of What's the Story lying around somewhere that contains the track 'Step Out' and a slightly different mix of 'Hello'. Where was “Step Out” placed in the track listing? Any links where I can read up more about this? I know Step Out was originally a candidate for inclusion in the official track listing but didn’t know there was a released CD with it on.
