www.xfm.co.uk/news/2011/liam-gallagher-noels-a-poor-city-fanLiam Gallagher: Noel's A "Poor" City Fan 20 May 2011 Liam Gallagher has told Xfm that he considers brother Noel to be a "poor" Manchester City fan for not showing up at last weekend's FA Cup Final. The Beady Eye singer was all present and correct at Wembley Stadium for City's win over Stoke City - but the elder Gallagher was nowhere to be seen. "He's a scaredy cat," Liam told Xfm. "He can't handle being in with the real fans. He was in LA, wasn't he? With all those LA type people. "Especially when he's on the fucking radio every fucking weekend talking about football and he's not there. Poor, mate. I'm sure he had bigger things to do." Liam was speaking to Xfm's Matt Dyson at the opening of the new Pretty Green shop in London's Covent Garden and also revealed that Beady Eye were thinking about their second album already. "We've been in the studio messing around with a few tunes," he said. "We're going to finish the tour about Christmas time, then about February go in the studio and hopefully have it out by summer. We're not gonna rush it, but we're not gonna fuck about either. We've got the songs, we're ready to go." That's outrageously quick. Of course it's all subject to change, but if this holds true, this time next year the second album will be imminent.

Liam reminds me of one of them Man Utd fans that lives in London, never goes to any games and then the minute they do go to one they come don't shut up about it, wear the Man Utd jacket they bought in the club shop for weeks on end with the scarf they bought and carry around their ticket stub in their wallet for weeks and then have a go at Liverpool fans who never go to any games.
Great news about the album although wasn't DGSS meant to come out this time last year?
I predict it'll be out in November 2012.

Attending matches is not a be-all end-all signifier of how much of a fan one is. I am a big Cincinnati Bengals fan (kill me now) and yet I have never once been to a game. I get much more out of watching it on telly.

Armchair fan With that attitude, you're discounting millions of worthwhile fans across the globe. Attending matches, especially if you dont have the time, means, or ability, does not qualify or disqualify you from being a true fan. I never heard such nonsense in my life.
