Has there been any kind of announcement regarding who will be opening for Beady Eye during their short US run? I'm not sure if I have just missed it or...
It's getting close! I'll be in Chicago- can't hardly stand to wait any longer. Only about 5 more weeks to wait!

They're from NYC as well. I've seen them before when I went to see a shitty band called "Chief" at a friend's request who they opened for. Typical American indie rock. Nothing at all to get excited about. They're not bad, but it's definitely a let down that they're the other band on the bill. Its a safe bet that they will probably be the opener in Toronto and Chicago. Not certain, but they're in Chicago on 6/17 (the day before Beady Eye plays) with The Postelles (another NYC band) and then have open dates to play both Chicago and Toronto with Beady Eye if its to happen. Not 100% certain on those two shows, but they're definitely 100% the NYC and Philly openers. This is a decent tune of theirs

The Postelles are okay, saw them open for Ashcroft. I wouldnt have been surprised to see them open for Beady Eye, but The Dig makes sense too.
Either way, its disappointing from my POV.

Open for Ashcroft? I wouldn't expect them to open for him... The music is totally different.. Opening for Beady Eye would make sense though.. Anyways, it's about time they cross the ocean and start doing some promotion over here as well. Are they popular/famous in America yet? Or not really? I mean in terms of airplay and stuff..

Well, the Ashcroft show was in NYC, where the Postelles are from, so that connection is fair. I also wouldnt discount the differences in music entirely. They fit fine in that respect. I wasnt moved either way by them. And no, they are not popular or famous here at all really. I had no clue who they were prior to them being announced as Ashcroft's opener which didnt even occur until the day before the gig. I think they were last second additions.

The Dig are a great band! Really enjoyed seeing them open for Beady Eye back in June and I've been a fan ever since. Great music, great group of guys! Check them out if you get a chance, I don't see how anyone can NOT like them!!

There is a group opening on this north American leg called Black Box Revelation. I think they're from Belgium. Sound alright from what I've heard.
