Just reading through the posts here, Twitter & the external sites info and I've gotta be honest.
Noel Gallagher is influenced by his management & has mentioned listening and not listening to them (Marcus) in alot of interviews & anicdotes about Oasis in the past.
I really couldnt care if there are 2 versions of an album infact I'm gonna pretend there isnt! This board seems obsessed with comparing sounds & versions and "what ifs" I just want to hear some music! - Anything! And I can't wait.
I have never been a fan of AA personally & I can understand why people might put him off going down this road. I also didn't like some of the DOYS remixes (or while I'm at it TSHB) Which he seemed to really push on the band & fans for B-sides. His Chemical Brothers stuff though was ace so I hope he listens to some critical evaluation.
So lets just get a Noel Gallagher album. He has a look (which is a bit ancent!) he has a sound (his voice) So going solo doesnt mean he needs to stick to a particular sound/genre. He is stubborn though, granted, but he is a music fan. He is not going to release anything less than a legendery album!! (A mixture of acoustic and dance based classics probably)
With or without promotion It will sell better than BE based on his songwriting ability & relationship with the press - on that note - all press is good press people.
Dont believe the hype.
Oh & Alan Mcgee is a Glasweigan arse imo!

Brilliant! Love reading all the posts! Friends with McGee am I! Stack shelves in HMV? where do you guys get your info from? Anyway...... It is just an unfortunate case of you have to wait and see really! I know some of you really don't believe what I have to say which is cool, forums can be full of bullshit! Anyone remember The Sand Band story? That was me, I broke that story first, no one else! That story has since been confirmed by both parties, so really your decision what you want to believe and dont. Also expect some kind of release in August! with Press starting in July! (again you will have to wait and see!) I take back most of what I said. I just looked up that u were the one who broke the Sand Band story. I'm still not buying the 2 albums, but the rest you have full credit for. k+

All I got from his posts is that Noel has enough songs piled up for two albums worth of material. And that's more than feasible.

All I got from his posts is that Noel has enough songs piled up for two albums worth of material. And that's more than feasible. He said, 1 album was the album that Alan McGee and Russell heard that was anthemic, the other was the one with AA, which he was trying to save in LA. When I say 2 albums, I mean that there are 2 different versions of the same album. One which is more anthemic, and the other which is with AA. "McGee has heard the original sessions and called them anthemic! It seems like it is only Noel that wants to mix things up a bit, hence working with AA on it! No one else wants him to do it with them. When I say no one, I mean no one! Noel is all alone on his choice to work with AA!!!" "As much as I have been reading about whether or not you guys like the idea of Noel collaborating with AA, my sources tell me that most likely, these sessions wont see the light of day!!" 2 different sessions, hence there being two different versions of the same album. I know you can say that a session doesn't necessarily mean 2 completely different versions of the same album, but I don't think that A&R would be bitching this much if they were just minor changes. If sourmash could come back on and clear this up, then I would be happy to take his explanation, but the way that he makes it sound, it sounds as if there are 2 different versions of the same album.

spaneli you are one of the most confusing fucking people Ive ever come across lol Thanxs. I try to keep everyone confused, including myself. ;D I try to change my mind a lot, stubborn people whose opinions do not change are boring and sometimes pathetic. I always try to re-think my views. I re-thought some of my views and changed them. Confusing yes, but also the right thing to do.

I wish people would not check my facebook and see who I am friends with! I know it can be helped because you are intrigued to know who I am and what my credentials are!
I do need to clear something up! There isnt 2 albums. there are 2 albums worth of material! There is one album but 2 versions of it. The original album that McGee has heard and then EXACTLY the same one but with some AA magic on it!
I do have a tracklisting now which I am just deciding on when and where to post it!! (So on this you will have to just keep your eyes peeled for when I publish it!)
I also may know Noel more than you think too.
