I have no issue with this album besides Ain't got muffins and nature of reality lyrics.

Amazing disparity between the first and second halves.
It's one half HFB class, and its second half is just ... really really mediocre.

Good = Quality song, Ok = Mediocre, Shite = WTF IS THIS CRAP!?!? PLEASE CUT OFF MY EFFING EARS.
Bag It Up: Good The Turning: Good Waiting for the Rapture: Good The Shock of the Lightning: Good I'm Out of Time: Ok (Greatly over rated) High Horse Lady: Ok (Only cos it works well within the album) Falling Down: Good To Be Where There's Life: Ok (Needs the remix version w/ guitars instead) Ain't Got Nothing: Shite The Nature of Reality: Shite Soldier On: Ok
It's really AGN-TNOR-SO ending that fucks the album up entirely.
I can live with HHL because it fades nicely into FD and works well with the album.
And I can live with TBWTL because it works well with the concept of the album: Dark and Apocalyptic - but the remix and live versions make the song actually good.
But I can not live with the utter nonsense of TMOS's long lost brother (who should have remained lost), and the absolute fuckwittery bullshit that is TNOR.

Would have been great if every transition had been that inventive.

I have to change my opinion about this album. He/it (I don't know ) is not average. It's good. Soldier On, Bag It Up (FUCKING GREAT, Liam is amazing), The Turning, I'm Outta Time, Waiting for the Rapture ... not bad, not bad ...

Can't believe Noel left the second half of that album as it was. Clearly someone that had one eye on his solo career.

I didn't used to like DOYS. Some poor songs (especially the 2nd half of the album) and too much effects on Liam's voice to me. Well, I've been listening a lot to DOYS recently and I have to change my opinion. Here I go: The GREAT Bag It Up, The Turning and I'm Outta Time. Fucking tunes. Love them. The Good The Shock Of The Lightning, Waiting For The Rapture, To Be Where There's Life, Soldier On and The Nature Of Reality. To listen casually, some of they are a good pick. It depends on my mood The songs I can't stand Sorry, but Falling Down is bad for me. What a repetitive song. The drum is good but it doesn't change for one second! Come on! Also, High Horse Lady and Ain't Got Nothin' are poor as hell. If months ago I'd rank the album 5,5/10, now it's something like 6,5 or 7/10. In my 8 (including Masterplan) Oasis albums rank, it is in the 6 position, above HC and DBTT and below TM and BHN. I personally like the non-obvious Oasis songs in this, like TBWTL, TNOR and WFTR. But they aren't as great as the 3 first that I listed. Cheers!

I can't listen to Falling Down. Because the Amorphous Androgynous remix is SO MUCH BETTER, rich, full of details, arrangements, colors, explosions, trippy as hell. I mean I liked the album version, but when AA remix came out, oh my god...

I mean I liked the album version, but when AA remix came out, oh my god... There's only about 5mins in total worth listening to from the whole AA remix. I think it's a bit shit. Noel should release the AA album a little bit at a time as b-sides for the next album's singles.

Not their finest album but it did provide a beautiful song in 'I'm Outta Time', my personal favorite tune by Oasis. Although I do understand the criticism for the second half of the album as it does seem to fade away at the tail end of the album.

It's a great album until TBWTL (GOYHHL is useless, but I can tolerate it), then the last three songs totally ruin it for me: totally shit, embarassing. In an album the beginning and the end are really important, and it starts great (love The Turning) and ends really weak. Plus, it lacked really strong singles. I blame Sardy for the "groove album" idea and Noel for the weak setlist, but also Liam who went away to marry during taping: imagine a few changes withnsongs that were already there or floating around.
Bag It Up The Turning Waiting for the Rapture The Shock of the Lightning I'm Out of Time Four Letter Word (was it already written?) Falling Down To Be Where There's Life The Roller Record Machine Stop the Clocks

DOYS is definitely the worst Oasis album. Apart from The Shock... and Bag It Up, I'm afraid it's rather bland and similar, the last few tracks especially. A good album by today's standards, but definitely the lowest low for Oasis.

My true thoughts on DOYS was and is the worst album Oasis ever made and it's the only Oasis album which I only listened to a few times since I bought it. Same here! There are still songs on it which I didn't listen complete till today, because it was to painful for my ears!
