I really like Sputnikmusic and way it let's everyone rate and review the albums.
Why has NL4E got a 'warning level'?.

Yeah, US Release. I have to admit I think the US and Japanese versions are both great. I think the UK got left out in the cold. Considering, that the US got CS and Japan got DGA.

Hit the nail on the head right away. The rest of the review is entirely superfluous.

Couple of things though: - He's surprised 3 BHN tracks are present even though Noel doesn't like the album. Well. What about - it's a singles collection, kinda had to have them there? - Calling Whatever unreleased? - Calling Sunday Morning Call "Oasis’ strongest and most uplifting songs out of their post-Morning Glory phase"?

Surely that's a matter of opinion. Well you see, a singles collection is just a singles collection a best of collects their best tracks? See the difference?

Surely that's a matter of opinion. Well you see, a singles collection is just a singles collection a best of collects their best tracks? See the difference? which is especially the case with Oasis, whose B-sides are sometimes better than singles

To be honest the fact that this is a "singles collection" rather than a "best of" makes it all the more unnecessary as Stop The Clocks already exists as an entrance point to the the band and, by definition, is "better".
Maybe "do we really need another pointless Oasis compilation" would have pleased the pedants but its obvious what the writer was getting at.

Disappointing, I thought every review would be 5/5 But it has shakermaker on it. I noticed a lot of hate for Shakermaker on this forum. Is this really considered one of the worst Oasis singles by fans? I don't think it's one of the best songs on DM. I don't think it's one of the worst on DM either, though. It was a good choice for a single in my opinion. It's got a classic mid 60's pre-psychedelia sound to it. I think it's better than the singles THT, Lyla, TSOTL, TIOBI, LBL, SB, and maybe some others.. Why do so many see this song as album filler and a poor choice for a single? It's not like it's been over-hyped or over-played in live sets like some of their other singles. Does it sound too much like generic 12 Bar blues? Because to me it's not unimaginative nor lazy.

^ tbh i used to hate Shakermaker BUT i love it now and always wanted to hear it live. We all know its no great composition and lyrically its nonsense but never the less its a fun song. Not up there in my top ten...but its not a track i never skip when listening to DM.

Most people on here are delighted about Time Flies AND it's sold shit loads so far. Despite this you still get people on here moaning about "why did they release it"? Because people will buy it that's why.
