Who? Puyol? You're joking right? The best player in the world plays in a shakey back line? Seriously? Messi is the best player in the world, end of.

Sorry for my trollish behavior.
I don't care too much about soccer...erm, football.

I know it isn't played only in the USA. Football (soccer? fuck off) is a better sport in my opinion. Not only cos' I'm brazillian, people everywhere would agree with me. All that "hugeness" around baseball only comes from the USA and that is a fact. That's a stupid discussion after all. If you like baseball, good for you! If I don't, that's my problem eh?

He's a good player but he's no Craig Conway.

if Messi and co win the world cup, plus he has a huge helping hand in that, then he will go down in history

he's nothing next to the legend that is Goodwillie, right, globe? This season in particular, Goodwillie has really shown his class, weighing in with a whopping six goals. Now, you could theoretically try and compare that to Messi's tally but that would be like comparing The La's to Justin Bieber in terms of record sales.

Aye but Goodie has other things to be getting on with, like getting into fights in nightclubs. Canna have scoring goals getting in his way. Still a silver kisser though.

Can't argue with that. Rooney, Ronaldo, Kaka eat your hearts out. This kid is going after Maradona and Pele What I am wondering is how you ever came to the idea that Rooney was even in contention as one of the world's best players!

I think he was the best just behind Messi and Ronaldo at some point tbh at least when it comes to strikers

MESSI is a great fotty player who LIKE MANY IN OTHER SPORTS WHO ARE OFFENSIVLY gifted has benefitted from the way games are officiated leaning so heavilly towards the offensive team on fouls .
wayne gretzky , mj ,brady and manning ...all are AMONGST THE BEST LIKE MESSI to ever play ......however they all have one thing in common ....THEY WERE ALLOWED TO SHOWCASE THERE TALENT BECAUSE DEFENSES HANDS OR FEET HAVE BEEN TIED BEHIND THERE BACKS DEFENSIVLY HERE GOES LIST BRADY AND PEYTON - basically are playing catch with there recievers the defense cant touch the receiver or qb
MJ - most say best ever , i wont argue but had he played in 70s or earlier he could not take 3 steps to fly " and defenses would have mugged him
GRETZKY - same as MJ he would have been decappitatted in 60s or 70s nhl
MESSI - the best of the generation no doubt ......but like all the others above , who are and were the best of there eras ......THEY WERE ALLOWED TO SHOW THERE TALENTS BECAUSE OF THE WAY THE GAMES WANT SCORING .... they never could put those numvbers up in years gone by
why you can only rate players in there generation
imagine what pele or diego could have done if thewy played in this era where hard challenges are usuallly "rewarded " with FREE KICKS OR PENALTYS AND RED CARDS
we never got to see those guys play in the ' NO TOUCH " lackadasiacal offside calling era ....why i will never say hes the best ever

To me, Johan Cruijff is the best ever. Holland played very good at the worldcup in 1974

You rip on Mad Men, the best show in the last 50 years, and then you diss globe's club. Gracias.
