The first half of DOYS makes up for the sub par second half, bar FD and SO. That first half is straight fire, BIU is great, TT gives me the chills whenever I listen to it, WFTR is great although I like the alternate version more, TSOTL is a grand, thumping song, and IOT is a great song to slow down the album and give it a great sigh of relief.

Yeah, this poll has been done to death - especially in the immediate aftermath of DOYS' release.
But opinions change, and after reading many recent comments that DBTT has aged poorly, whereas DOYS has really grown over the years (both viewpoints I share), it's time to put this to a poll once more.
Very difficult, especially with the nostalgia I have surrounding the DBTT release.
But holy fuck, DOYS' 1-8 tracks are immense. So I'm going with the 2008 release.

The worst tracks on DBTT are better than the worst of DOYS but Bag It Up, The Turning, The Shock of the Lightning, I'm Outta Time and Falling Down are better than any song on DBTT.

Beady’s Here Now, I merged your thread with this one you started 8 years ago. Cheers. DBTT any day for me. DOYS was the worst Oasis album (to me anyway).

Came across this after googling what fans thought. After 16/13 years of reflection, it's clearly DBTT to me. DBTT is a very summer album for me, and with the sun out now I'll easily listen to it right through a good few times. It's standard go-to album for me. DOYS is something I crack out every now and again when I think it's ages since I've heard it, but even then I can rarely listen to it right through. DOYS is decent and doesn't have any of the dross a couple of the middle albums have, but it doesn't have anything that gets me going, and the filler is also behind DBTT's for me.
Some saying DBTT is more consistent throughout but DOYS has bigger highs - I'd say DBTT also has bigger highs - I reckon TIOBI is the best single post-DYKWIM. DOYS is more consistent than HC or SOTSOG but I'll still crack them out more for their brilliant highs. DOYS is the forgotten album for me really. Funny given all my critcisms of it though, I don't have a problem with Aint Got Nothin. It's not great songwriting, but I enjoy Liam on it for a few mins, it's got energy - which puts it above a lot of other mediocre fillers for me.
My favourite thing from the DOYS era was actually the Chemical Brothers remix of Failling Down, which we heard before anything else. I thought/think that's fucking brilliant, I was buzzing for the album - Falling Down is a really good song, but was a bit of a let down after the remix.

Don't Believe The Truth by miles. I like Dig Out Your Soul but songs like Waiting For The Rapture, High Horse Lady, Ain't Got Nothing and The Nature Of Reality let it down.

Hard to choose because I don’t like both albums tbh.. DBTT for Let There Be Love and TIOBI

DBTT for the reasons that many have already mentioned - far more consistent. DOYS has tracks that are better than anything on DBTT, but also has tracks that are worse than anything on DBTT (or all but one of its b-sides).

Defo DBTT. However, I must admit that DBTT has aged badly imo if you consider that at the time of its release it was regarded as the band's best effort since WTSMG.

DOYS.
DBTT is pretty terrible when you listen to it back.
DOYS a less depressing listen.

DOYS by a mile. On DBBT, TIOBI is a classic but I genuinely can't stand to listen to any other song on the album. Liam's voice sounds weak and I hate the production. I think I've managed to listen to the album all the way through about three times.
On the other hand, DOYS is one of my absolute favorite Oasis albums, right next to WTSMG. I love the groovier vibe, and every song on it somehow fits that vibe, despite there being a pretty wide range: from the big rockers to the moody stuff like Soldier On and Falling Down to TBWTL with its sitar. Even the weaker stuff like AGN works in the album context.
I've probably listened to DOYS the most of any Oasis album, and DBBT definitely the least.
