lets be real those 4 could still be the best band in the world....
if they let gem sing backups, and let maybe andy and gem write 3 songs each and liam do 6.
Noel will go solo and do better than lennon or paul ever did.!!!!!!!!!!1

I can only hope they don't do it. At least not under the Oasis name. Noel Gallagher is Oasis.

But yea, I don't want Liam and the rest of them to carry on under the Oasis name. If they want to continue, fine. But they aren't Oasis anymore.

As much as I would like the legend of Oasis to carry on, I do have to admit if they do decide to continue I think they should consider changing the name. Liam won't have it, of course, but you look at the like of Guns N' Roses and how much Rose has burried that name.
I think that line up, plus the possible replacement, could work but at the risk that their steering a ship that the captain just jumped overboard from.

Ain't Got Nothing Turn Up the Sun Hung In a Bad Place Love Like a Bomb Won't Let You Down Nature of Reality Born On a Different Cloud I'm Outta Time Thnkyou for the Good Times Eyeball Tickler
Encore:
Songbird To Be Where There's Life Keep the Dream Alive Soldier On

Maybe they'll start accepting applications for the role of "Noel" in the band. I'd like to be the first to submit mine!

liajm has always gone off in between songs for noel to sing,im not sure they could do an hr & 40 min set without liam having a break inbetween,i seriously think they should get noel back somehow & just record the last 2 albums, than being on the road for over a yr with each other,it'd be alot easier for them.

Must admit a part of me is intrigued to see how Oasis would fare without Noel to steer the ship, probably more so in terms of live performance. Can't help but wonder what kind of setlist they'd put together.

Can't help but wonder what kind of setlist they'd put together. I feel the same way. I don't know how much I would anticipate a new album by Oasis without Noel, but I would definitely love to see the band live. There's no doubt in my mind that they would still be great on stage.

Andy,Chris,Colin and Jay will follow Noel because He gave them the job in the first place I wouldn't be at all surprised to see them being part of His solo career

I also wondered what a possible set would be. I seem to remember Liam saying that he wanted to bring out stuff like Rockin Chair etc. so if the band do go on i guess we will see if he actually meant it. Just wish they could of played the last couple of shows without Noel like in 2000 just to see how it went...

oasis = noel + liam. take away either and it's not oasis.
i hope liam doesn't play with the oasis name.
that said, i'd be happy if he continued as a solo musician and andy and gem played on his records.

as much as i love liam's voice, he is not exactly a great songwriter: he can't write hits, often bad lyrics and less originality than noel's bad days.. and live i just could'nt stand to watch oasis without noel.. plus i really can't see gem choosing to play with liam, i always saw him as very loyal to noel (even if having read his latest post, who knows what their relationship is right now?)

It would be a disaster - I probably wouldn't buy a Noel absent Oasis album.
