Having waited for the opportunity to see the band, previous tours have alluded me, I took my 2 lads to lasts night gig.
Can I thank the people in the crowd who unselfishly shared their beer with me on more than one occasion, next time giving it me in a container would be much more accurate. Can I also thank the group of "fans" who felt starting a fight and a running brawl was more entertaining than watching their heroes......it wasn't. My youngest was quite upset at this. Tell me why should his evening be ruined by idiots, he has a right to be there to.
To the idiot who wanted my hat....buy your bloody own and before moving on I have 4 sachets of a white powder like substance absentmindedly dropped by the same bloke, looking strangely vacant.
Time for the music then. Everything was excellently faithfully reproduced so even The Heaton Park Choir were able to stay in tune!!!!!!!! Noel, do not suppose you will read this, stunning guitar chap especially,"live forever" quite awesome, why though did the sound engineers drown your voice out with the drums, when you took the vocal lead. Not good chap!!
Highlight of the evening, Cigarettes and Alcohol, but why did I feel like I was a voyeur at a private party, no interaction with the crowd or any attempt to engage, so between songs, the above idiots, "entertained themselves".
Having then driven 3 hours to get home.. final verdict... not impressed chaps could do better.
For those of you who are upset by this and no doubt there will be many my eldest thought it was great!!!!!!!!!

8-)Hiya mate, I was at Heaton on Saturday night. Unfortunately Oasis do attract there fair share of dickheads. Sorry to hear they spoiled things for your boys. Overall though any crowd of a certain age of 70,000 people will attract a certain behaviour. Oasis were on top form throughout the set, and the supports were all excellent. Organisation left a little to be desired getting out but I wasn't too bothered I had a fantastic day, as did my wife. I think it is a small price to pay for a day you will never forget. The gig was epic. I personally don't understand why having paid for a ticket, got there and hopefully back again you would wish to get into such a state that you cannot remember it. For me it is all about the music, first and last. But unfortunately some people see it as an excuse to get hammered and act like dickheads. There you go. All the best, peace and love, Neal.

some people have not realized that the "lad culture" hasn't been around for over a decade.
other than that, welcome to you both!

some people have not realized that the "lad culture" hasn't been around for over a decade. other than that, welcome to you both! You pass such disgraceful actions off as 'lad culture'? (Not having a go, just voicing an opinion) Is what happened in the West Ham/Millwall match just 'lad culture' too? Same kind of nonsense. Grown men using football to brawl and fight are correctly labelled as hooligans. The same should be said about those who do the same at Oasis gigs. They're there to cause trouble, and not there to see the band - they aren't fans. As for beer/piss throwing? Beer throwing is somewhat tolerable. I'd rather it didn't happen, but fuck it. Piss throwing? Fuck off. There's no need for that. Anyone who thinks it's funny to soak someone with their piss hasn't grown up and is still in 2nd grade (but I bet even most 7 year olds would find that disgusting) Really sad how some people behave.
