Ok, the production DOES play a great part on it. But isbn't the production part of what makes a great song? The lyrics are good, and the bass line really sets a groovy line on it. And, as I said before, the fact that it brings something new to that familiar Oasis sound adds so much to it. Or maybe it's just the high of a new Oasis song hitting hard... The lyrics are great indeed...but it's just that, even after playing it a few times, the tune doesn't stay in my head. The melody is too simple and therefore becomes pretty boring after a while. In my opinion it's not catchy enough. Then again, maybe that's what Noel is trying to achieve with DOYS The song isnt catchy and doesnt hit your head. I still think it is an excellent tune. Mostly I am happy that Oasis have left that boring (guitar, drum, bass, vocals only) sound that was on HC and DBTT. Noel said that this album will be more fancy and it seemed like he was telling the true.

But then again, i think Lyla is pretty catchy, and it also grew on me as i listen more and more to it, but I definitely think I'll come back to FD much more than to Lyla as time passes. Catchy songs DO play a major role on spreading Oasis to new listeners (I know quite a few people that beagn listening to Oasis after GLIO), but they're usually not my favorite songs. (Except for Some Might Say, fuckin' love it...).

Honestly I think it's a bit directionless. 6.5/10.

This might be the feel of the album. hasn't Noel said repeatedly that there aren't any big choruses. This song is a perfect example. It just grooves along at a steady pace.
The first chorus should have been amped up a bit though.

But the thing I dislike about this song is the fact that the melody stays the same throughout almost the entire song. Still a good song though, but I wouldn't rate it 9/10 or sth like that. I rate it 7/10

How told you Liam wrote it? he meant liam shoulda sing it...well he COULD do it in the studio..but could the song take liam's raspiness?? no. It sounds perfect with Noel.

top tune.......love the production
it starts like a oasis-acoustic-by number and ends up totally different without massive melody changes.....so the songs seems quite simple, its still kind of weird in a way

Listening to it for the 3rd time on Youtube.
I like it. i wont say that i absolutely love it yet, but I do like it quite a bit. The production is IMMENSE, and I didnt like Sardy's production too much on the last album. But this production is great. I take back what I said earlier today. Im not worried about this album anymore. I think its gonna be good. Not mind blowing good, but I think its gonna be satisfying, and their most consistent album in years.
I must say that I like this song more than Stop the Clocks and Record Machine, so thats a good sign. Im digging that this song marks a new direction for the band, and its really pumping me up for his album.
So yea, I was expecting to maybe be a bit disappointed w/ TSOTL, but Falling Down has thus far satisfied me immensely. Lovin' Sardy and Noel right now.
I'd love a PM though... Im listening to it on Youtube, but would greatly appreciate an mp3.

Fucking atrocious. Looks like it's 11 more slices of Sardy shit pie. Fucking horrible production.
As terrible as the remix is, it blows the album version out of the water.

Can we ban robohump?
I enjoy the depth to the production, the synths aren't just 'bells and whistles' to the song like we've had in the past from Oasis. They form an integral part and take it someplace new. The song structure is also new and refreshing.
I think this will be awesome live.
