I'm really quite excited now! If you ignore all the bullshit that's been happening in the fact/fiction section, in the past two days we have had two very tangible interviews released from noel, and we have a true feel (finally) of what to expect for the record. Hopefully we will get consistent updates and interviews from band members all the way to october, i'm new to oasis, so i don't know how often their interviewed when promoting an album, but i would kind of assume four or five times a week, probably more.

I'm starting to get more of an idea now of what 'more grooves, less songy' means. Looks like we'll be getting an album of songs with not as much lyrical content, maybe long sections of music or lines repeated over and over (ala Fools Gold). Colombia definitely does seem like the best example from their own catalogue, maybe Fuckin In The Bushes too or Better Man

I would take a song like Columbia over many Oasis songs any day.

Too bad I can't ask for it as a gift because I'll be getting it right away. I was just gonna say that if no one knew who Oasis were, even though it's a single, any cover with the title 'The Shock Of The Lightning' would probably end up on one of those Worst Album Covers Ever pages. Sure the song itself will make up for it, though.

Well my birthday is Saturday 11th.
So i'm just gonna have the album on repeat all day.
If my guest don't like it, tough.
Although most of my mates are big fans anyway.

what i like about the 3 songs Noel has described on the Ken Bruce show was how enthusiastic he sounded about the songs. This is a real positive for me

the album title comes from lyrics of a Gem song on the album Noel Gallagher has just said on the Russell Brand show

He seems to be very excited about this new record, as opposed to the whole "what's there left to do?" attitude he's seemed to have the past few years.

the album title comes from lyrics of a Gem song on the album Noel Gallagher has just said on the Russell Brand show He also said the album is quite different from the last one. And then did the whole 'it's the same but different' from their other stuff. It's the same cause it's got him writing and Liam singing (I'm assuming he's just referring to the single). And Noel said the album comes out late September - he must be referring to the single, unless someone neglected to tell him that the album is October 6! Oh, and with all this October birthday talk I have to add that my birthday is October 1, and I'm excited to have a single before my birthday and an album after it (and an excuse for other people to pay for them!).

OK, this link is from a ticket broker site, but it may well confirm the rumors we heard about that 2008 MSG show a few months ago: "Upcoming events this year include Oasis, Neil Diamond, Coldplay, The Rolling Stones, Elton John, Paul McCartney and U2." www.gotickets.com/venues/ny/madison_square_garden.phpU.S. ticket broker sites are fairly reliable, unlike the UK ones, which just make up crap (we've seen that over and over and over). So I tend to think it will happen. I'm guessing the New York and American Dates will be sandwiched between Canada and Mexico. But as we all know when it comes to Oasis' god-awful management, who knows?

That only equals eight months, folks.
Is there something in the water where you live, or are the newborns just really eager?

Then maybe the 9 months is wrong. Maybe the rest of us have been born late. Maybe it's only supposed to be sixteen months and all of us were born REALLY late!
