I was so excited, now it feels so damn far away. The hardships are immense.

"The Shock of the Lightning" is a fantastic song title. I'm going to say it is only topped by "Supersonic". I'm pumped.

You're all mental.
If that title were offered by any other band, it'd be ripped to piss on here, and rightfully so.

I can really picture 'The Shock Of The Lightning' on the wall as a poem on paper written written in crayon by a 6 year old.
If Noel rhymes 'Lightning' with 'Frightening' then I'm off.

I wanna live in a dream in my record machine sounded stupid as a title too but the song is awesome so stop complaining until you hear it I actually really like that title - IWLIADIMRM If Noel rhymes 'Lightning' with 'Frightening' then I'm off. LMFAO. Best post of the year that. Made me laugh. You're all mental. If that title were offered by any other band, it'd be ripped to piss on here, and rightfully so. Song titles don't matter. Of course I'd prefer a quality catchy thought provoking title or whatever, but it could be called Monkey Piss for all I care. And why do you, of all people, care about the titles of tracks - look at your beloved Coldplay: 42, Lost, Yes, Yellow, Trouble....I wouldn't call those inspirational track titles either.....

I reckon that Shock of the Lightning will be one of them songs that doesn't mention the title in it, like Gas Panic. But it'll be amazing. I like the idea of it being "Groovey". I'm thinking Supersonic mixed with Better man.

im dead excited now. However i must add if another band had a song coming out called the SOTL, everyone here would be ripping it. Fact. The disappointment for me is the wait, and the harsh fact that RM wont be on the album. What does everyone think? Am gutted want the whole world to hear it.

Ah, they do matter a bit. And I never said those were good titles. In fact, I'm not sure it's ever come up. Still, The Shock Of The Lightning; that's embarrassing. It sounds like a working title for a Harry Potter novel.

Not too impressed with TSOTL title - but doesn't matter as long as the music is up to par. I highly enjoy the album title though. It seems like Noel uses 'soul' in at least 50% (guess) of his songs, so you might as well incorporate that into an album title.

They should stop naming albums altogether and just start numbering them, Led Zep-style.

Fucking hell, man! This got me excited!!!!!!!! ;D I really dig the new single name! It's almost like Supersonic pt. 2 (Hopefully, the song will sound like it too!). Supersonic - Shock Of The Lightning! Sounds a bit 80's in fact! Fucking love it too bits, man! ;D ;D ;D The fact that it was written very fast, and it is the demo also make it really similar to how Supersonic was written!
Hopefully Dig Out Your Soul (Which I also really like!) will include some colossal tunes! I've got a felling that this album will be really raw! Maybe like a stripped version of Be Here Now turned up to 10?
Good times to be an Oasis fan! Mad Fer It! ;D

The way the title sounds, I picture it sounding like Nothin On Me meaning most people would be pissed but I would be pleased.

STOLEN FROM NME recorded in London's Abbey Road and mixed in Los Angeles.
Comeback single 'The Shock Of The Lightning' was written by Noel Gallagher and features his brother, Liam Gallagher, on lead vocals.WTF are they on? It isnt a [glow=red,2,300]fuckin comeback[/glow] man, they've never been away or down in the dumps. Theyre not talking about Radiohead or U2. Assholes. Fuckin get it right. Lets see what these fuckers rate DUYS. They gave DBTT 6 out of 10 www.nme.com/reviews/oasis/7660

They've been away for so long that it feels like a fucking comeback. They're close to entering Second Coming territory.

So when should we expect to hear it on the radio? Usually singles are out about a month before the album right? So like September 26?

You Gotta Go There To Come Back
Mellon Collie and the Infinite Sadness
The Kinks are the Village Green Preservation Society
Vrooom Vrooom
You Are the Quarry
Whatever People Say I Am, That's What I'm Not
Blah blah blah Ziggy Stardust blah blah blah
About half the Beatles' whole catalogue
All silly album names, all fine albums. Could care less what they decide to call it so long as its not some pretentious or pretend shit and its easy to type/abbreviate on here. DOYS. Good enough.
