Which one do you like more of these first album singles (and why)?
I think lyla is better, hindu is more lazier, lylas got more nuances.

they're both cooked by the old oasis formula which doesnt make it particularly appealing to outsiders.
if i could choose a colour representing lyla it would be grey. THT has a far better vocal and slightly better lyrics

And Liam's voice is still kinda ok.....

Lyla, The Hindu Times opening riff seems like some band trying to be Oasis. After than it picks up the pace with good lyrics and vocals, but Lyla is just great. Drumming are thumping. Vocals between liam and Noel are just as good. It has a better intro.

THT. Dunno why. But I like Lyla's improvisation more, especially how they start it and when

The Hindu Times. The lyrics to Lyla are awful.

I think the Hindu Times is better, but I love Lyla too. I voted THT because of "I get so high I just can't feel it."

I get up When I'm down I can't swim but my soul won't drown
I do believe I got flair I got speed and I walk on air
God gave me a soul....
I love the opening to this song

I love the opening to this song Yeah man, those lines easily put The Hindu Times over Lyla. I love that second bit "I do believe...". Badass innit? And with Liam singing it got the ultimate swagger. Plus the music video is better (though they're both pretty crap).

It's an extremely close call, but Lyla has slightly better overall instrumentation, so I voted for it.

Close call, I'd say I like both the same. Very similar songs too, but I voted for "Lyla" cos I remember when I first heard it I was more excited than when I heard "THT". It took me longer to get into THT.
