In The Name of God- Dream Theater
Isn't about Trump (Jonestown, Al Qaeda and Heaven's Gate to name a few) but the second verse could be applied to his cult status.

RIP Eddie
I don't usually like guitar wankering but Eddie's playing had some proper groove.

This is just amazing. Like the indie version of Mike Flower Pops' Wonderwall. Thanks for posting, will definitely use this on mixtapes for years to come! EDIT: So, the most bizarre thing about this cover is..there is this obscure japanese novelty band covering an MBV classic and I'm finally able, after all these years listening to Loveless, to actually make out and understand the lyrics...

Glad you liked it, was a recent discovery of mine as well! You should check out the album which is a compilation of Japanese bands covering the whole record:

Glad you liked it, was a recent discovery of mine as well! You should check out the album which is a compilation of Japanese bands covering the whole record: Thanks for the recommendation!! That version of Sometimes by the notoriously infamous noise rock band Boris is exactly the opposite of what I had expected. Then again, knowing the band, not. But that cover album, in places, proves the songwriting gift of Kevin Shields that's buried underneath the wall of guitar (contrary to popular belief, it's just ONE guitar on every track, I've read recently). But you very probably already know that. Regarding the When You Sleep cover by Shonen Knife, on second thought, they just shoehorned (an english term i've just learnt from Noel's MG 25th self-celebration vids) bits of Just Like Honey, You Can't Hurry Love and either/or A Town Called Malice beneath it. And it perfectly works..
