If Kanye wasn't dividing his attention between ugly shoes and politics, beautiful song demos like this might get full and completed releases. The ideas are still there, but the drive to perfect them has gone and now they get released half-done. Shame, really.

Absolute brilliant. asimarx, you might like it too. Thanks, I'm always open for such suggestions! Really colourful tune. That synth line stucks immediately. Sounds like a mixture of LCD Soundsystem and The Notwist.

Sounds like a mixture of LCD Soundsystem and The Notwist. I wasn't familiar with LCD Soundsystem until I saw them at Paradiso 3 years ago. They blew me away. I've never heard of The Notwist, but gonna check them out now. Errors are one of the bands from Mogwai's Rock Action records and they supported Mogwai in past. "Rumour in Afrika" is a kind of song, you hear it once, then you never forget. If you liked this song, check their album from 2010 "Come Down With Me". You won't be disappointed.

Reason Is Treason - Kasabian
This song was the one which made me got into Kasabian in 2004. Sinds then I've seen them 9 times in 3 countries and met them in person several times. I don't follow them for a couple of years now. To me they've reached the peak with "West Ryder..." and became a stereo type stadium band with overgrown ego. Yet I've always enjoyed their live and their self titled debut album was something still unique. They are done now.

I liked "Club Foot" when they dropped it in early 2004, didn't love it. It took songs like "Reason Is Treason" and "L.S.F." to sway me into their corner. Then I saw them open up for Oasis in Atlantic City in October 2005 and was highly impressed with their live show and Tom as a frontman. Seen them 3 times since that show. Always a fucking blast of a time.

The Ordinary Boys, Kasabian, Weezer and Oasis were the headliner. Great day. Remember Jim's Kasabian blog back in the days? Good days.

I want to believe that this is the song that Noel heard and made him want to work with David Holmes because this is an amazing song with some hints of The Stone Roses, Britpop, modern electronic-infused rock, and Ride, while still being a rock song at its core. The drumming on this song is insanely good & packs a punch like I've heard on few other songs, and the mix of electronic keyboards & guitars is candy to my ears. How have I gone so long without hearing this?

I've only seen this yesterday for the first time, it was recommended to me on my Youtube frontpage and damn, what a performance. It's one of those songs I tend to forget over time, always felt that the constant built up/down-structure of the song destroys its flow, but I've grown to love it! En plus, Jimi had a really nice hairdo back in the day

Any Craig Armstrong fans here? Yeah, Armstrong has got some great moments in his catalogue. I got into him though his work with Massive Attack , his interpretations of some of their collaborations are good as a starting point.
