the windows validation is a hidden one. when you're in the add ons manager,select all plug ins that have been used by internet explorer. select the windows genuine advantage one and disable it goes for anyone else who has an illegal version of windows but wants some of these new downloads offered by windows throw me some karma if it helps gifford you can have all the karma going if you sort me out with this but if you read back on the thread you will see i cant find the sodding add-ons manager lol

sorry mar. everytime we tried to update from sp1 to sp2, we couldn't. we had to re install windows with sp2 included in the installing files (inside the i386 folder).

Couldn't you just use a service pack 2 disc to install? Or have I totally missed your problem?

Or have I totally missed your problem? lol my xp is pirate i can d/l sp1 and sp2 or i could get a disc either way my comp wont install cos windows knows its not an officially registered xp prog you can get cracks to fix it but i always fuck my comp when i dl em if neone can d/l a crack and forward it to me..........
