THE STANDS have invited NOEL GALLAGHER to play with them at tomorrow's V FESTIVAL performance at CHELMSFORD (August 17).
The Liverpudlian four-piece asked the Oasis guitarist to appear with them on stage, however Gallagher may be forced to decline the offer due to a clash with his favourite football team.
Singer Howie Payne told NME.COM: "We asked him to come up on stage tomorrow, but he said that Man City are playing... maybe he'll turn up."
He also revealed that the band offered Noel a guest slot before their set at the Stafford site today (August 16): "He came over to us and asked, 'Why aren't I playing today?' We then told him to come up, but he said that he didn't have his guitar with him."
Payne added: "I told him I had loads of guitars with me, but he insisted that he wanted to play with HIS guitar."
Gallagher was spotted at the Stafford site in support of his up and coming mates The Stands and The Bandits.
