Oasis frontman Noel Gallagher delighted music fans at a small indie club in Liverpool when he played a surprise gig. Around 100 clubbers were at the Zanzibar club when the musician took to the stage. He and bandmate Gem Gemill played an acoustic set of six songs. They included Wonderwall, Don't Look Back In Anger and Half The World Away. ( According to the CNS forum STOP THE CLOCKS was performed for the very first time to an audience !) Gallagher performed after making a promise to Merseyside band The Stand who were playing at the club that night. He joined the band to play guitar on one of their songs. The ardent Manchester City fan combined the gig with a trip to Anfield to watch his team beat Liverpool. yeah i heard about the surprise gig just this morning. i'm not sure about Stop the clocks though. we should just wait until some official word is out about it.
i stole this off some website...
NOEL'S BIG SURPRISE Everyone knows that Brit band Oasis is full of surprises. Well, frontman Noel Gallagher surprised 100 club-goers on Saturday in a Liverpool nightclub. Gallagher performed after making a promise to a local band who was playing at the club. Accompanied by Oasis guitarist Gem Gemill, he played a six-song acoustic set which included hits like 'Wonderwall' and 'Don't Look Back In Anger'.

In the Echo and Daily Post, here in Liverpool they both said he played Half The World Away , which is not on that list.
However they both called Gem [glow=red,2,300]GEM GEMMILL[/glow] so I dont know how in the know they were about it

something like.. the song sounds like little james and stop crying ur heart out.. i dunno something like that... i don't give a final f**k bout anyone saying how the song was or how it sounded like.. i remember an early SOTSOG review telling that little james sounded like wonderwall --> perhaps STC is not the best oasis song ever but it might be another all time classic such as LF, LBL etc..

it might be nice if its recorded and released before 2004, something to keep the diehard fans who devote time and money to those lads happy.

it would be good to get a one off single released like 'whatever' was.
interesting news though - i was kinda 50-50 as to whether or not Stop the Clocks even existed.
no doubt some prick will be on CNS saying they have a recording of it

well according to webby's post about NME's report, he did play that song in question.
i agree with matt though, you can't really judge a song that's still in its developmental stages.
I'll just make my opinion on it once it hits the stores

New song? I’m sure we will over hype it and ultimately be let down.
