After one listen I don't *love* the album but there are some great tracks. Pray For Me, Devil's Resting Place & I Was an Eagle stand out to me.

After one listen I don't *love* the album but there are some great tracks. Pray For Me, Devil's Resting Place & I Was an Eagle stand out to me. It sounds great on first listen. Half of the tracks are played in her melodic 70's Neil Young singer-songwriter style and the other half, with their doomy strings, point towards something more obsessive and self destructive. Pray For Me is a great song, loved it since it appeared online way back in 2011:

i have only given the album a single listen so far and although i think it is good and it will no doubt grow on me with a few listens, but musically she seems to be treading water and it would be great if she did something a little different.

The new album is barely 2 weeks old and she's doing new songs. While looking like a goddess.

This girl never fails to amaze me. She's been touring to promote her new album and playing so many new songs. A different one on each show, pretty much Sadly, she's planning on releasing a new album and then take a loooong break Don't disappear, Laura!

I saw her again on Wednesday, her best gig yet it was just her and her acoustic guitar. As for her taking a long break she said that after touring the last album and after a month went on a working holiday playing small shows, so i don't think there will be a big break.

I've just discovered Laura. And now I can't stop listening.
What a great lady. I'm in love with her first album. The other 3 are good, too (all in different ways) but the first one is FANTASTIC.
I've seen some lives from 2008 in youtube and the way she sang, so shy, so lovely... I'm amazed. I'm pretty in love with that girl. Haha

I haven't listened to her new album yet. I'm planning to before the year is out, but I gotta say The Muse from her previous album is really one of the best tracks I've heard from a singer-songwriter in years. That track is really, really close to being perfect.

She's no Judee Sill. But fair play to her for getting so big with the sensitive female shtick.

Read some interviews and I find her incredibly false but I admire anyone who can get away with it.

I saw that a couple of weeks ago. I think it's from last october/nov though I prefer the version on electric guitar she did for Guild Guitars. It was on youtube but it was deleted
