Maybe they shouldn't have toured the album so soon except for a handful of showcases. Could have gone the route of bringing JS out as an encore to the DM tour and play tracks from the album and end the gigs with Champagne Supernova alla Knebworth.

OK, OK. I put the album down after listening to it once. After seeing them perform Mars To Liverpool on Ross I was impressed. Went back and gave it another listen and I'm digging it now. Solid 6 tracks overall.

Listening to As You Were and watching River Thames and some live performances from Liam and his band from a few years ago and I'm missing that vibe he had with the band and backup singers. They were locked in and hitting a peak, especially when Bonehead played with them. Actually prefer it over the Squire stuff and I hope this is more of a one off and he gets back with Bonehead and the lads. Just one dope's opinion.

Overall disappointed with the album as a whole. Hard for me to get by the banality of the lyrics and each track seems to be manufactured, lightweight and unoriginal. In terms of Liam's post Oasis work I'd rank it above Come On You Know and Beady Eye but below AYW and WMYN. Squire's guitar work is fine and Liam's vocals are good but it all sounds artificial and sophomoric. If you don’t like it you don’t like it. But I’d hardly describe it as ‘manufactured’ or ‘artificial’. It’s easily the closest to a live band sound Liam has appeared on since DBTT. OK

But you can have your own opinion and that’s the joy of music Finally, As You Were will always resonate with me as the most authentic thing Liam has done post Oasis, along with his appearance at One Love, it felt like Liam and it felt like a wake up call to the world that he was back

I've been a fan since Definitely Maybe dropped and 90% of the music I play is Oasis or the boys solo whether it's studio recordings or something from my huge archive of live bootlegs but this album seems inauthentic to me and the lyrics are too silly and trite to allow for repeated listening.

Here we go the track that never made it to Dig Out your Soul Criminal.....this tune is bloody immense Pretty well done but I'd love to hear a version with the demo track rather than Noel's official version, demo feels more raw and beefier and the drums are more upfront. Heavier

Can someone explain something to me... It's always made me feel uncomfortable listening to '08/'09 versions of Cigarettes and Alcohol. At the end of the 'you gotta fake it' run it always sounds as though Liam shouts 'you gotta 'rape' it'. Now I don't know if this was just his voice falling apart or what. But it doesn't seem like something he'd say. But it's absolutely what it sounds like. I'm sure Noel would have stopped this, no? Am I just mishearing this? No, he definitely sang rape. Not to excuse it, but as bad as it sounds in 2023, it was much more commonly used in 2008 and often used interchangeably as a metaphor for getting the better of someone, as in "the winger has raped the defender" was often used to describe a footballer dribbling past an opponent and infamously said on Match of the Day. Again, not defending it, I wasn't comfortable with him singing it either. Same with The Who's Doctor Jimmy "who is she? I'll rape it" I know it was the character's alter ego but as a kid I never played that track in fear my parents would hear it AND it made me very uncomfortable as well.

As much as I try, I find that anytime I try to listen to Beady Eye it somehow depresses me.

Just watched Liam at One Love again. I'll never forget the excitement when he walked on stage in that orange parka looking the best he had in years. "Manchester boy's in the area" The crowd's emotion enveloping the stadium, their grief lifting momentarily as they welcomed their native son. The first chords of Rock 'n Roll Star. He killed it. He was back. It was a mission statement. Never thought I'd see him in that form again. What a performance. Grateful for the past six years.

I have no Beady Eye thoughts for today. Perhaps that's for the best.

Just finished watching the concert film. Absolutely fantastic, really goes to show what a proper mix can do as well. Everything balanced perfectly as opposed to many of the streamed gigs since 2017.Liam and the band on point. More Power was incredible. And the kid with the tambourine before Wonderwall was heartwarming. I actually loved all the crowd shots, so great seeing the emotion. Only wish I had would have been for Bonehead to be on stage. Godspeed Bonehead.

So been listening to the full res FLAC of the deluxe edition and it's a whole different experience. Well done rkid. As You Were will always hold a special place for me but this is a big step forward from that and WMYN. Solid 8 out of 10 for me.

I don't know, I want to like it but the whole thing sounds over produced and manufactured on first listen. Rkid's voice sounding a bit artificial. Maybe I'm used to the first few singles that dropped as they're my favorites so far. That being said I still find the live versions superior which points back to the production, that includes The World's In Need. A few more drinks and a few more listens but that's my first impression anyway.

Proshot version of Better Days Gotta say I thought it was shit live listening to the audience recordings, but it sounds great there Same for me, this kills the studio version.
