Think R&L will be pretty epic. His 2017 gig was one of his best solo performances imo. Great crowd. The TRNSMT crowd was insane too.

being famous and being in the public can be nerve-wracking. you can offer your vital organs, but people will never be happy, they always want more and believe they have the solution in their pocket for everything. Personally, I thank Liam immensely for everything he has given to make Oasis what they have been, and I thank him immensely for his amazing solo career, and I thank him immensely for his setlist which are fantastic and better than so many Oasis tours. . I thank Liam immensely because he is the only one of the two brothers who still interests me both musically and as a way of thinking. Anyone who is not happy with him for whatever, can move on to follow other bands and stop complaining. Life is too short to spend complaining Way of thinking? The straightforward, down to earth and fuck them all attitude he's showing, which was a massive part of Oasis' whole vibe.

Liam is doing a great thing for the doctors, nurses etc. but people here are complaining about the setlist... My thoughts exactly. He's giving us Hello, Columbia, Stand By Me, Fade Away, Go Let It Out, ... and people are complaining. Not to speak the great variation of songs he has given us over the past few years. BIOD, Listen Up, Rockin' Chair, Headshrinker, Cast No Shadow, ... People are forgetting these are professional productions, you can't change a complete setlist every gig or tour. And also, not everyone is as fanatic as us. He's giving the people that check one gig a year what they want, and he's nailing it.

So Liam is performing in Italy today? First gig since March 2020?

I just think it's an average attempt at 90s Oasis (not surprising given the chorus is from back then), something he already did with mixed success in the 00s, but with the added downside that there's no Liam on vocals to elevate it It's not a particularly bad song per se, I wouldn't turn the volume off if it came on the radio, but there's nothing that makes me want to go back to it, it got boring very quickly for me You Know We Can't Go Back which is similar in style for instance is a much better song, there's a genuinely nice pop tune in there, Lock All The Doors falls into the Lyla category, nice singalong and great energy live, but the song's just mediocre and there's no feature that makes it stand out I get what you mean, there's not a whole lot to it, but what I can say it that it's great for when you're running. The fact that we see those tunes as easy or lazy speaks for Noel's songwriting qualities.

Gave this a 6 when it first came out, now it's a solid 8. Great tune, and very happy to hear such a melodic song coming from Noel's pen again. Great tune.

Doesn't matter if he's cool cuz you're out of tune.

And how he was that cool and iconic at such a young age. Like he had been preparing for being famous all his life.
I was watching Live by the Sea the other day and realized he was 22 years old at the time. I mean what the fuck?

I also like how he is now. Not a pathetic caricature of himself. Still the same, but in a more evolved, mature, chilled down way, without taking himself too serious.
How many 48-year old dudes are still cool as fuck, with seamlessly no effort and without selling themselves out as a one-trick pony?
Of course we don't know what person he is in real life, but it seems to be pretty close to his public appearance. And I dig that 'persona' a lot.

I think that if you play Rockin chair acoustically it will lose half of its power compared with the original version. But he can try, maybe I just love the original too much. Shortened and acoustic AAtW potentially could be great, I think at the heart of it it’s just sweet little song and the orchestra grandiosa was unnecessary (although it sounded nice) He did Rockin' Chair acoustic for the roof session at Radio X, and I genuinely loved it.

I agree that SCYHO was pretty underwhelming most of the times. I do like this version:

Yeah I think Live Forever is a good shout. I don't have many go to great Live Forever live performances I go back to. My favourite probably being the MTV Most Wanted one. The Main Road version of Live Forever is one of the best Oasis-moments ever imo.

How massive does The River sound? Especially the part 'You gotta scream and shout, if you're gonna work this out..' when they sing together. Love it. I think that The River always sounds great live and even better than the album version. Agreed. The version at Jools is also amazing. The fact that Gene joins in at the drums makes it extra special.

Can't believe he gave us this. The setlist, the voice, the band (!), the setting, how it's shot, ... Just perfect!

Hello, Fade Away and Headshrinker as the new ones. Especially Headshrinker is an unexpected one, curious how he'll manage that.
Bit disappointed though, I was pretty sure he was gonna pull All Around the World out of the bag for this gig. But that's the cool thing about Liam's song choices. Giving us something new one piece at a time. Keeps it interesting. I mean, he gave us Rockin' Chair, Listen Up, Sad Song, D'yer Wanne Be a Spaceman, Bring it on Down, Be Here Now, DYKWIM, Columbia, TWNSIS, ...
And he promised us Go Let it Out, even mentioned (I Got the) Fever Once. Good times ahead!

Lol, why the hell is it weird to bring a 12 year old to a concert? yeah, lol... because a 12 year old is a fucking child, that is still far away from being fully developed. the volume you experience at such a rock gig can cause serious damage to a child's hearing. lol! yeah, lol.

The current setlist is near perfect for me. Mix of Oasis classics (Supersonic, Live Forever, ...), some rather "odd" Oasis ones (Columbia, Stand By Me, Gas Panic!) + my favorites from AYW and WMWN. It’s very very good; for perfection I’d sub Morning Glory, Roll w’ It, Acquiesce for Gone and One of Us, but I guess these have a lot more going on so would need profoundly more effort, whereas the formers are shouty and can be performed with less thought or concentration, almost on autopilot, which I understand. Have an amazing night tonight !! Thanks mate! Still a bit of fear for a cancellation or a set cut short in the back of my head, but the hype is taking over haha!

Absolutely elated that Come Back To Me is still off the bench. My favourite from As You Were and rightfully standing it’s ground in the set. Cannot wait for next weekend, my heart is together - my head is exploding! Perché io? Perché no. The current setlist is near perfect for me.
