FYI the fan vote barely matters at all. even so, they probably aren’t getting in I don't think so either, just saying the vote is basically useless anyway

The band of the 90’s. The band of a literal generation. Why shouldn’t they get in this year? Because the voting ended a few days ago and they got 10th. They ain’t doing an announcement until June I would say. FYI the fan vote barely matters at all.

Assuming that Guigsy didn't want to be a part of it, why is Alan not included?

Am I right in thinking that acts have to perform at the ceremony if they're to be inducted or was that a lie Noel made up a few years back? The other members of Dire Straits inducted themselves when Mark Knopfler didn't show up, and then didn't play, so they don't have to play. Agreeing to it probably makes the backroom politics more likely to get them inducted tho

But these some people who criticize the song or the fact that Liam lists the colors of the rainbow, are the same ones who praised Noel's solo debut when he presented as his first single the sensational plagiarism of "Je so Pazzo" by Pino Daniele, with embarrassing lyrics like "I'm watching my TV, Or is it watching me?" ? I bet these same people also commented with the word "Masterpiece", the tons of meaningless whining that Noel has been trying to sell to people for 10 years... I can assure you, that's not me. Sometimes lyrics can be embarrassingly awful. It's not always an agenda.

Lyrics let it down unfortunately. Had great potential, and great performance but it's just meh do to that. And I say that knowing Oasis lyrics were often nonsense, but within the melody they worked.

Sounds like Stone Roses doing Cloudburst! Hopefully Gallagher Squire isn't only the band name but also the songwriting credentials. That's Standing Here lol

Always liked Zak's drumming and he was a perfect fit for the DBTT tour. His style brought some fresh air especially to the more rocking songs during that time. Chris overall very likely to be the "best" drummer for Oasis let's be honest. Sorry Whitey! You got your place in the history books anyway and were around during the wild days so that ain't too bad either. But the band was absolute dead around the time he left so right move from Noel. Yeah, I agree with you, I definitely rate Chris as the best Oasis drummer and I always liked him in Beady Eye as well. As for Zak, he's a good drummer and I don't understand the slagging off he gets on here. Because he made the songs slow plodding and lifeless. Chris was an improvement in every way.

I mean, the show Tuesday in Chicago was ridiculously better than the one on the WBTM tour. Ooh, were you at Chicago Theater in Feb 2018? I thought that was quite a good gig. But yeah - I don’t get the naysaying from some here about this tour - I wish it wasn’t coheadline and I wish it was in smaller spaces, but as far as the actual shows go, the one I saw was brilliant. I was actually referencing the tour with Smashing Pumpkins in 2019.

It's no secret the tour isn't going so great. It's a shame but I didn't know if I'll even go to Boston now. It really seems like a meh tour. The backup singers makes it look a bit weird. Something is just different about this US tour then the last one. I mean, the show Tuesday in Chicago was ridiculously better than the one on the WBTM tour.

There are some live performances without the nananas the tour with u2 I think(or maybe im thinking of the Mexican) 😅 He’s never done the ”na na na’s” live. Ever. He brought them in this US tour.

This made me laugh. I've never seen Noel screw up a guitar solo before. I was about to say I guess Noel's getting older and can just get Gem to do it again, but Gem is the same age 😄. Still, Gem should do it! No, Noel should play this solo. Hopefully better than this, obviously, but still. This is literally the solo of his career

He's using the Les Paul for In the Heat of the Moment. Is it the first time? Can't believe he brought back the nananana's. Song is so much better without

* Pretty Boy
* Council Skies
* Easy Now
* We’re Gonna Get There in the End
* Open the Door, See What You Find
* We're on Our Way Now
* Black Star Dancing
* AKA... What a Life!
* The Masterplan
* Going Nowhere
* Little by Little
* Live Forever
* Love Will Tear Us Apart
* Don't Look Back in Anger Not a bad setlist. I'd replace Black Star Dancing and Little by Little. Little By Little is probably his best live song if he doesn't play Don't Look Back in Anger electrically. It pumps up the crowd, even those in America who don't know it.

RIP to Gordon Lightfoot, Canadian Folk Legend and creator of the best song about a shipwreck ever recorded. Also who had a song called Morning Glory, with the lyrics "what's the story, morning glory" in 1986.

Liam at 100% Noel at 100% Gem at 100% Andy at 100% Starkey at 100% I'd go so far to say this is the absolute best 00's performance. This is rock n' roll! Absolute kings To each their own, but IMO this is a terrible performance from Liam. Cutting off words, out of breathe and not clear at all. And really the first time when they came off a break that he sounded so shockingly poor.

I love how the narrative by Noel, media and fans is that MOON was too experimental or whatever. It’s actually extremely straight forward. What it does contain is the best production of Noel’s songs in 25+ years. Something Oasis badly needed 2002-2008. The production is fine. But the songs are lower quality. The production should serve the song, not the other way around. He hasn't found that balance of both yet (bar While the Song Remains the Same)

The guys in NGHFB would need a sizeable bonus for time off from Noel to even make Oasis work in any capacity. Same with the guys in Liam's touring band. The labels would have to coordinate together and revive Big Brother Ltd. in order for the old crew to come back. Chris and Gem would have no say in whether or not they could join the reunion as Bonehead would be in there in no time. Alan has expressed interest, by always somehow saying "Bags are packed!" just like Liam does in a joke-y way. So there's no ammo there for Alan. Guigs... Well hard to say with him. No word from Jay Darlington either, and he's absolutely gonna need to be apart of it if they were to bust out the old setlist. Liam will continue to tweet everything happening and maybe stir some trouble. A lot of aging up has happened for our Oasis lads. But not any actual growing up has been done. To answer your question in a more direct way, it comes back to what I said above. Sizeable bonuses. There's definitely no way Noel would let the High Flying Birds project go just to restart Oasis in any capacity. In what way is Jay Darlington an absolutely necessary part of Oasis? Finding a keyboard player would not be difficult.
