I'm sure its already been asked but, if I buy a ticket, is it possible to get it to play via my TV? All I have is a Roku plug in stick

Well, that was, as I assumed it would be pointless...except for the little preview of the video

Probably in the minority but I prefer All You're Dreaming Of. I hate the repetitive Once part of the song and it ruins it for me

Gig will be recorded next week I've heard. Not going to be live, will probably come out along with all the promo around Christmas. I feel like I'm out of the loop but, what gig is this?

I always have and always will rate Born On A Different Cloud very highly. I don't get what people's problem is with the song. Lyrically great, musically and production wise, it works completely and in every respect.
Easily in my top 10 Oasis songs

I've been thinking more and more about this. There are some tracks that were never done live that you could almost accept that they were never meant to be played live (The Cage, Nature of Reality, The Quiet Ones etc.) However, there are some tracks (below) that I will never understand were never done live during the tour of the album they were from: Alive
Hey Now
I Hope, I Think, I Know (I Got) The Fever My Sister Lover Going Nowhere The Fame Flashbax
Cigarettes In Hell Let's All Make Believe Put Yer Money Where Yer Mouth Is Roll It Over Full On
Shout It Out Loud Thank You For The Good Times (I am aware Andy has sung this live but that was not in Oasis) (Probably) All In The Mind
Part Of The Queue Eyeball Tickler Pass Me Down The Wine Keep The Dream Alive Let There Be Love (done live properly)
Bag It Up The Turning Soldier On The Boy With The Blues
All the above could and probably would have gone down well during their respective tours. The biggest miss for me is the Be Here Now and Standing albums, the songs that never got done live from them album eras are criminal.
Why do you think the above never got done live during the tours?

Easy, Columbia.
Same tune, nonsense pointless lyrics, tired droning recording to a song that is out of place on the album

I'd want the 'Operation Gold' documentary - and there's obviously plenty of footage from backstage from the day. The gig itself, I agree, not their best, but there are some songs (Columbia for example) which sound brilliant. It’s crazy this hasn’t been released yet. It sounds great. Noel: “We made a film of Knebworth. It’s called Operation Gold – a documentary that’s never been put out. There were 15 cameramen travelling with fans on the train from all over the country, they filmed the police meeting rooms and all that. It cost us a fortune to make – it will probably get released on some anniversary. The gig was recorded properly with cameramen in the crowd filming from the fans’ point of view. We were going to release it as a live album but I said it was too soon. But I think people will want to look back on Knebworth and say, ‘Yeah, that was quite mental what happened to all of us.’” (quoted in John Robb’s The North Will Rise Again: Manchester Music City (1977-1996), p. 380) X The fan point of view would be excellent with VR

Stand By Me should definitely have been the lead single, for me. Give that a decent radio edit and it's a mammoth hit in a way that a darker track like DYKWIM was never gonna be. America, Britain, anywhere, doesn't matter - Stand By Me as the first taste of LP3 would have destroyed the radio for months. The added bonus is the idea of people a few months later putting their CD's in for the first time, trembling with excitement for the third Oasis album, and having all eight minutes of DYKWIM come booming out of their speakers for the very first time. Ah, what could have been. I'm with you on hearing DYKWIM for the first time when you put the LP on, works infinitely better as an album opener than a lead single. I remember honestly wondering what the hell was going on when Jo Whiley gave it its first play. It went on forever 🤣 In my mind there's 4 singles from that period, Stay Young, Stand By Me, Don't Go Away and My Big Mouth. The four singles for me: Stand By Me (singalong) Don't Go Away (for the Wonderwall fans) Stay Young or I Hope, I Think, I Know (for the singalong again) All Around The World (for the diehard fans)

Going Nowhere was indeed recorded last in a completely separate session. Noel claims the song was specifically recorded for the Irvine Walsh's movie The Acid House but for whatever reason it came out as a b-side before the movie was released. Personally I think it's by far the best Be Here Now era b-side. - Stay Young - 6/10 - Angel Child [Demo] - 6/10 - The Fame - 5/10 - Flashbax - 6/10 - (I Got) The Fever - 6/10 - My Sister Lover - 6/10 - Going Nowhere - 8/10 I've found Going Nowhere dull if truth be told. Angel Child - 6.5 Heroes - 3 Stay Young - 8 (I Got) The Fever - 9 My Sister Lover - 7 Going Nowhere - 4.5 The Fame - 8 Flashbax - 7.5 Street Fighting Man - 1

My top 3 worst choices: Who Feels Love? - track goes nowhere, boring as hell to hear and even Liam's vocals can't save this one Shakermaker - biggest mistake from the Definitely Maybe period releasing this as a single. BIOD or Slide Away were massively better choices Roll With It - Far better choices on MG as a single including the title track, no wonder it lost battle of Britpop

I think Why Me. Why Not? is Liam’s Best Song so far. Should’ve been a Single I'm baffled by the singles choices for that album. I know that Once has a lot fans here, so I'll give it a pass, but Shockwave and Now That I've Found You are both in the bottom half of the album in my opinion. I really do not understand how those got chosen over more interesting or just fun stuff like WMWN, Halo, Gone, Be Still (although I know that opinion is a little less popular in these parts).
Now...you see...for me, Once shouldn't have been a single..felt like they HAD to release it as we all pretty much heard it at the end of As It Was anyway...I don't think it's as good as half the album

Even after all this time and the acoustic session version, I still thing Meadows is an awful sounding track and I can't help but feel that Misunderstood would have been a better choice for the track listing.
I don't know what it is but I just cannot stand the track. Music sounds off, Liam sounds disinterested in it and the lyrics leave a lot to be desired

Right I have to ask this, everyone keeps saying for Liam to work with Danger Mouse and all I keep thinking is...who is Danger Mouse?
I must have been living under a rock because the only Danger Mouse I know is the cartoon from the 80s

Mustique demos are a huge release from Oasis camp. same tracklist as the bootleg/cd that was kept from the fans all those years? DYKWIM, IHITIK and BHN* are MINT My Sister Lover instead of Magic Pie - works perfectly fine *it's a shame about the Trip Inside fiasco I never understood the big deal about the Mustique demos. I listened to them once, when the BHN remaster released, and was like '...meh'. I know the feeling...I can't even remember the last time I even listened to them

I have come to the conclusion that I absolutely cannot stand any version whatsoever of I Am The Walrus. Its awful and annoying on The Masterplan and whenever I put a gig on where I know it finishes the gig, I have to end it before.

And where can I listen to that? You can download it from Noelsoasis' excellent blog Radio Supernova, under the Oasis Remix section. It assumed the mantle from Jim's now legendary RKID blog, and carried on the sterling work sharing rare promos / fan edits, amongst other things. Please can someone post a link for the blog, I can't find it for some unknown reason

The Hindu Times is the worst lead single of Oasis ever. Even the title is dull. And song is not even top-3 of this album. Could be better only if Noel decided to release original demo which is one of the best Oasis demos I've ever listened to Yes id agree its their worst lead single. Not outright bad, but it does sound a bit lifeless at times. I'd personally say Go Let It Out is worse and, to me, sounds more dated. That may have something to do with me preferring THT though

A list of THERE I SAID IT/Confessions:
Columbia live is a blast but on the album it drags and doesn't deserve it's place on Definitely Maybe.
I absolutely HATE the ending of (It's Good) To Be Free to the point I can't listen to the track anymore.
No matter how many alternative playlist/tracklists I have made for Morning Glory, at least one of the Swamp Songs feature as I actualy enjoy the change of pace.
The Masterplan is a good song but nowhere near Noel's best sung song and I get irratated when people suggest it should be on Be Here Now as it would change the song completely.
Standing on the Shoulder of Giants is actually a damn good album as it is and Put Yer Money and I Can See A Liar are actually good tunes.
Heathen Chemistry is NOT that bad a produced album and it's heights and even lows are better than Dig Out Your Soul.
Don't Believe The Truth is a good flowing album that gets too much hate on here.
Dig Out Your Soul is easily the worst Oasis album and the whole album sounds like a band that want to be as far away from each other as possible

My favourite Oasis gig I went to was the Manchester gig in 05. Don't Believe The Truth gets far too much hate because it isn't the 90s. As an album, it flows very well, better than some other albums I own. I will also never get the hate for Keep The Dream Alive as it's one of my favourites from the album, it reminds me of summer 05 so maybe nostalgia plays a part, I don't know.
