Yo! What two guitars are being used here? Is Gem using Noel's #1 and then what's the one being tuned in the background? It looks like a 355 but without the varitone switch. Maybe the mystery 345 from the recording BTS? imgur.com/a/U4BgWXL

Maybe the mystery 345 from the recording BTS? imgur.com/a/U4BgWXLGem is playing Noel's 355 no.1 here. He's played it during the 2006 acoustic tour too. The one in the background is definitely a 355 and not a 345, but as you've noticed it is a mono-wired version without the varitone switch. Gem plays it for IIHAG, HTWA and Wonderwall during the 2015 BBC acoustic gig, for instance. Maybe it's Gem's, I don't know... Noel has never played it. My guess is that it's a fairly recent reissue: it looks very shiny and the red looks lighter. Gem did play 355 no.2 in 2006 and in the DOYS tour though. My guess is that it's another backup of Noel's that Gem's borrowing that we just don't know about — after #2's demise, I'm sure he needed a backup in case #1 failed on tour, and that's probs it there

It could well be.

The first in-depth analysis for the website is not about a guitar - it is about an amp The Marshall Valvestate 80V Model 8080, the small combo that Noel used in the very early Oasis years. Together with a WEM Dominator, it made Noel's main recording and live rig for the Definitely Maybe era. I'll say no more... just check out the article on the website if you're interested. Everything is explained in it. This is the early Oasis sound you're looking for. LINK: thechiefsguitars.com/2024/04/10/a-key-to-the-early-oasis-sound-noel-gallaghers-marshall-valvestate-8080-amp/Here's the same model of Valvestate with the same model of Epiphone Les Paul that Noel used until March 1994 (there's something coming about that guitar too!). They're not Noel's original ones of course, they're mine

So you don’t have a WEM Dominator then? Not yet I missed a couple that were for sale in the EU and getting one from the UK is a disaster thanks to Brexit.
