I’ll be honest, the only one I’m remotely interested in hearing is Cloudburst I'm not quite as negative about it as this, but pretty much every other Oasis album would have me much more pumped to hear in full. Especially Be Here Now. Having said that, that is the fanboy in me. In reality this and Morning Glory are obviously the two everyone wants to hear from start to finish if they could. I suppose it doesn't help that we have actually heard him do everything of this that he could realistically sing. Up In The Sky for instance is gonna be a massive strain. I do think he should ask all the original members to play a part. Even if Guigsy inevitably says no. It'd add a lot more interest in it. I mean DM is the only album that doesn't present the problem of him having to try Noel-sung songs (not including some b-sides), but if he did ever attempt BHN I'd do ANYTHING to be there to hear it live

He can put Stay Young in that place, where it always should have stayed.

I always thought it was a shame in 2004 for the ten year anniversary that the band didn’t play a short session for example at Maida Vale for BBC Radio 1 or Jools Holland playing a few songs from the album just as a bit of promotion for the DVD. Based on the shape they were in at Glasto I don't think more live performances in 2004 would have helped anyone with anything

Oh man, so excited for this. Imagine: 01. Rock n Roll Star 02. Shakermaker 03. Live Forever 04. Up In The Sky 05. Columbia 06. Supersonic 07. Bring it on Down 08. Cigarettes & Alcohol 09. Digsy's Dinner 10. Slide Away 11. Married with Children -leaves stage before returning for: 12. Cloudburst 13. Alive 14. I Will Believe -then an acoustic set for the tracks Noel sang: 15. Take Me Away 16. Sad Song 17. D'Yer Wanna Be A Spaceman? 18. Half the World Away - the full band return for: 19. Strange Thing 20. Fade Away 21. I Am The Walrus - then they leave again before an encore: 22. (It's Good) To Be Free 23. Whatever Yes please. TWB. Think Liam or Noel would pass out if they did 23 songs these days. 2 Liam did 21-22 songs for Knebworth last year I’d ditch Walrus and maybe one of b-sides (completely forgot about Strange Thing tbh) Or he should do everything but just for 1 day

To me the last tweet screams ”I have no plans and I’m trying it speak this into existence” Not looking good

To me the last tweet screams ”I have no plans and I’m trying it speak this into existence” Not looking good You do know he doesn't actually ring the venues up and book them himself? The idea was broached. He agreed. His agency will be all over this. They show him dates and it's done. Not wobbly at all.

I don't like this whole nostalgia thing tbh His solo career is turning into an oasis tribute/parody at this point
He should focus on making better albums

And even aside from those specific logistics, if Liam wants to speak a 2024 Definitely Maybe tour into existence... he can. He has that power.

I just feel like he's announcing this tour out of the blue. To be fair, I have no clue how to book a tour. Now realizing he's got over a year before the actual anniversary, he's got plenty of time. Little overreaction on my part I'll be honest, but I still have concerns, and still salty he's not going to the USA to play. This tour will probably be in the U.K. and maybe a few Europe and Japanese dates.

It's kinda how I've always seen his solo career tbh.
Sure, he has a few nice new songs, but I really listen/watch him because of the Oasis material. He was/is a (fantastic) front man, but he's never been a top quality creator.
That's not to knock him at all (pitchforks down, please)
Conversely, Noel was/is a (fantastic) creator but he's never been a top quality front man (steady with those pitchforks, guys)
Listening to Liam-penned songs and watching Noel-lead concerts/interviews etc is a little painful at times.
A bit like watching Lionel Messi suit up as a goalkeeper. Right game, wrong position.
The ones who can do both at the highest level are rare indeed. Paul Weller being my favourite example.
(If I get banned for blasphemy after this, then thank you for the good times!)

I don't like this whole nostalgia thing tbh His solo career is turning into an oasis tribute/parody at this point He should focus on making better albums Noel has excluded Liam and all other band members from the Morning Glory anniversary thing in 2021 when he alone was featured and promoted like all the other guys were dead or it was his solo album. Liam was pissed off but could only blast him on Twitter which is obviously not enough. It seems Noel wanna do the same with DM in 2024. Liam this time decided to go ahead and do something separately if he isn’t allowed to be a part of the official celebration. I see nothing wrong with Liam organizing events for himself and Tony and Bonehead to celebrate it. It’s their album too. Or only Noel can do that? He will reissue these two albums every 5 year or less for the rest his life to financially benefit from it.

Its good for younger fans though, who wants to bite in that nostalgia and werent born for the "real" Oasis. Cant say ive ever been to a Macca show to "see" the Beatles live though. Same thing really.
