The performances were great. I love Better Days more with every listen. It's so full of joy. And Liam seems to have found his footing on EE - this was MUCH better than his Brit Awards performance.
The interview bits felt awkward. "I love a bit of decay" is pretty weird conversation starter, much weirder than any of Liam's non-sequiturs, and Holland really wasn't picking up on Liam's jokes at all. Even the blocking was weird. Why would you have the interviewer standing and the interviewee sitting?

Jools gonna Jools. It was a bit odd but I kind of liked the awkwardness -- kept it from feeling predictable.

Yeah, I think Liam was in charge of that interview.. he came across well. Probably finally used to how awkward and rubbish Jools' questions can be. Great performance of both tracks.. 10 days until Etihad. Can't wait now. Some interesting differences in the live versions

Wow. This is peak Liam. What a set of vocals. Particularly Better Days was outstanding.

He sang really well on this show. Better Days vocally is practically perfect. On my ipod I will add these three performances at the end of Down By The River Thames. They will be very compatible.

You have to laugh, everyone slagging Liam on twitter and then you hear the other acts that they rave over 😣 What were people saying on Twitter? They thought Liam was boring?

Who is the guitarist stepping in for Bonehead? Barrie Cadogan of the band Little Barrie, was in Primal Scream

Yeah, I love Liam's performances on Jools Holland last night and I downloaded them all off Tubidy and put them on sd cards. As for the interview, it was ok (well Liam was good anyway) but I've never rated Jools Holland as a good interviewer to be honest.

Oh yeah, I think that Better Days sounds better live than the album version.

Was one of the people I'd like to see in Liams band back in 2017. Quality replacement under these circumstances(get well soon Bonehead!) with those big shows coming up. Still freaks me out how after all these years Jay can't nail some parts after playing these songs hundreds of times to date. But thats another story.

Always seems to be an awkward interview with Jools imo. No oasis songs think that’s might be a first since solo on jools? Good to see I’m all for oasis songs but think it shows some confidence to just have liam tunes

Good to see I’m all for oasis songs but think it shows some confidence to just have liam tunes Pretty sure he's never sung any Oasis songs as a solo artist on there! He did Wall Of Glass and Greedy Soul for AYW and then The River, Halo and Now That I've Found You for WMWN
