"A Song that exactly no one wants to hear" I can only speak for myself, but Liam and the Song was the only reason for me to watch that crap. We live in Strange Times: Everybody is so tolerant and diversitive, but almost the whole modern music is artificially, superficial and sexist. No Wonder the don't understand the people who Like some realness in music.
Not sure about the rest, but I agree with you about the sexist part. It's still so much harder to find women or female-led groups in the genres I'm mostly interested in. There are plenty of female-led rock groups, but on average they don't get nearly as much mainstream promotion as the men. Maybe it's better across the pond, but here in the US, the rock and country stations are absolutely dire when it comes to playing female artists. I'm not sure the local country station has even heard of a female artist that isn't Carrie Underwood. And isn't as if there aren't plenty of successful, established artists to choose from! Kacey Musgraves won a Grammy for freaking Best Record of the Year!
On the plus side, while I was watching the Brits I noted down the group London Grammar, whom I wasn't familiar with, and I like them a lot. I haven't found a good new-agey group in a while, and I love her voice.
Wolf Alice won best British band from what I remember. Ellie is a great front woman.

Finally listened to the whole performance, pretty good overall tbh. And I'm not someone who's biased towards Liam.
Chorus was a struggle at times for him though but it wasn't noticeably shit and he got through it.

I don't normally follow up on replies but my post got such a negative reaction that I feel I'll have to defend it.
Before DGSS released Gem was quoted as saying they wrote songs to fit his voice instead of fitting his voice around the songs which implies that the songs were written for his current range. Plus from my own personal experience playing songs from DGSS compared to everything Liam has done from 1997 onwards I find DGSS songs by far the easiest to sing and if you actually listen to that album none of the songs really seem to go up or down very much between chorus' verses and whatever else so that's why I posted that reply.
Maybe I'm wrong I dunno, I don't really care if I'm found to be talking shit or not because im not a professional musician it's just my opinion. Yes the songs leave a lot to be desired, but I believe that the key the songs in and how flat the choruses are don't help and that Liam in the studio sounds at his best when he's pushing for those high notes. If EE was in a lower key and the chorus wasn't as high I believe that it wouldn't sound as good and those nice chord changes wouldn't have the same impact.

Better this video recorded by the audience than that terrible mix of TV

These two verses:
Your fake humble called out, got you tongue-tied Your best chance at success got ya denied No, you thought I wouldn't know?
Your life's short and most days are long now Chain of missing links is all that's left now No, you gotta let it go
Sorry if these actually aren't pre-choruses, Genius writes so. I'm clueless when it comes to musical terminology.
Answered your own question. They're verses. No they're not, sorry, you're right. They're pre-choruses.
