I'm not too sure if I would want a reissue of Standing On The Shoulder Of Giants to be honest. I certainly wouldn't want a disc full of demos which fans have had on bootleg for years, there's no point. Also would Noel be actually interested in doing this. I know it would be even more money for him and all that but I'm not too sure if he would want to do this as I don't think he actually specks highly of the album. I know that he hates Be Here Now but at least he had plenty of unreleased demos etc to put on a reissue,

Second, like you said, we all have the demos for 20 years now. Unless they are sitting on unknown songs like for BHN, whatever.

I would love a deluxe version of this album... Imagine if it came with a book about the recording and history of that time in Oasis... Also would love an official release of the demos.

A deluxe edition could be immense. Demos, B-Sides, Live tracks from the album and era, Alternate mixes, Jools Holland, Radio Sessions. If I remember correctly, certain tracks like Let There Be Love originated in this period so could even get early demos and versions of tracks that came later.

Yeah that's very true and I would be very surprised if we ever got any reissues of Oasis's albums post 2000.

we haven't all the demos.. Really, I didn't know that. But even so there's no point in a reissue just to release that one demo. I could only find OWR demo on Youtube, That CD has Idler's Dream, One Way Road, Put Yer Money Where Yer Mouth Is, Sunday Morning Call, Just Gettin' Older, I Can See A Liar, Little James, One Way Road, Let There Be Love. and There is unsurfaced cassette on online too. monobrowdemos.wordpress.com/standing-on-the-shoulder-of-giants/I'm not sure They're same as what we have.

Did the SOTSOG recordings Bonehead and Guigsy made before their departures survive, that Noel then re-recorded? Would be cool to see how they differed....

The DOYS Re-Issue is going to be revolutionary. Each customer who buys it will be able to order the track-listing as they please, a world first where fans get to choose their own custom running order. This will be done to kill, once and for all, any future DOYS track-listing threads on this board. The kicker however, is you must still place The Nature of Reality somewhere on the album, cos Noel is evil.

It's a shame that they couldn't agree on the release as it would have made a really good and interesting compilation.

I don't think that we'll ever get reissues of any of the Oasis albums from the 2000s and I certainly can't see it happening in the near future.

SOTSOG still sounds so fresh and exciting to my ears, even after all these years. 20 years! I wish it were like that with people.
