I'm fine with him winding down the touring and releasing more material, whether it be singles, EPs or albums. Give me the tunes.

From the most reliable of sources, 'The Daily Star'. I didn't even bother to read the article.

All newspapers contain made up, or uninformed bullshit, but certain papers like Daily Star are on another level.

'Calling it a day'gives the impression he's quitting everything, when in reality he's taking a break from touring, whilst continuing to produce music. There's no story here.

This newspaper report is rubbish. Noel has always said he would never do what the Beatles did at the end - he will never break up.

Are there actual quotes in the article? That's more important than its source.
I won't click because the Star normalises all manner of awful things but my guess is that it's Noel trolling again.

It's from the show with Matt Morgan. Jack, I'm not disagreeing. I'm just saying Noel did say the phrase 'calling it a day' in the podcast. He then explained it was in relation to touring. The podcast is pretty funny. Also it's the first time I've heard him speak about his dad in any remotely positive way. Said he's where him and Liam get their sense of humour/wit from.

I recommend listening to the podcast too, it's mainly Noel talking about how much he loves Seinfeld

Considering all the other things he said in the podcast I'm surprised this was the thing.

I think that’s why we’ve had 3 rushed ep releases , he’s getting out the limelight , I’ve no doubt the oasis thing is going through his head but noels stubborn but I do think after this he will take a break and the next time you see him will be on a stage with his brother

I know the story twisted some words but I wouldn't mind if he quit touring or drastically reduced it in exchange for more frequent recordings, especially if he's putting out material that is so different and hard to pull off live.
I don't think it's feasible these days because all the money is in the touring as opposed to releasing music but I would totally go for Noel releasing 2-3 interesting EPs per year or an album every year and half without any tours.

I'd be there. I'd pay anything. But it's in the past. They don't like each other. They don't need each other anymore. Let it be. (Not that I blame anyone for dreaming).

thank god, i'm getting too old to keep following this man around the country. I've reached the point where I couldn't be bothered to go the 3 miles to Tramlines and if he was playing in my garden I'd check what was on TV before opening the curtains. Thanks for the memories, and I have a fuckload of great Oasis memories, but I think we're done.
