It's weird that's he's got such strong words against Noel and still agreed to work with him for like 4 years ? I mean, WTF.
All in all what i get from the long facebook rant i finally had time to read, is that they probably occupied too much space in the project, Noel felt threatened and canceled the whole thing.
Those guy are talented musically there's not denying that, but they should have understood one thing : it was right after the Oasis breakup, when Noel was launching a solo career and was probably more vulnerable than ever. They should have helped him develop the way Holmes did. In the end, as a producer, you gotta respect the artist you're working for, and not take his place, unless he asks for it (see, Liam). Lesson learnt i guess.

They should have helped him develop the way Holmes did. I think they did try to do exactly that, but for various reasons including personalities, Noel’s readiness, management risk-aversion, etc it didn’t work out. Noel admits in your quote above that he understands better what the AA were trying to do after having now worked with Holmes. “if I was to work with Amorphous again, I’d take [Holmes’s WBTM] process and do it with them. I think that’s what they would’ve preferred to do.” X

He went and made sounds and stuff based on what Noel produced, only to late add musicians if needed. He was smart enough to understand that you dont bypass a rock star. The AA created stuff on their own and tried to pass it along to Noel, that was basically saying : what you do is shit. Hopefully we'll get to hear it one day, i gotta say the Facebook post made me h°°d.

He gave Noel a sample and asked him to write a song around it, for example. - I don’t think the AA were trying to “bypass” Noel. They were trying to get him to jam/write in the studio more, cos they know good things can come from that, but he’d resisted it, so this was an attempt to show him the light. And it kinda worked cos he got two tracks from it then went on to work in that way on his next album (albeit with a more chilled producer he found it easier to work with). X

This is a brilliant interview, indeed. While he IS going all 'angry old man' it's the f**king truth what he's talking.
The whole thing with 'I'll be first at the press conference' is so funny, cause just the idea of that press conference...how it would go...completely mental, how huge it would be. The way everything's gone over the past couple of years, the hype for that press conference would be bigger than anything since the BHN days. It would be off its skull.
