Hey, so Liam has done some pretty good shows and TV appearances recently, what do people think of his band?
1. Bonehead (The one and only, he's still got it) 2. The bassist (With the very passable backing vocals, turn him up FFS) 3. The drummer (He's into it, great to see, and he does backing vocals too) 4. The lead guitarist (Who needs more spotlight, I can't remember what he looks like) 5. The keys dude (Hardly notice him if it wasn't for the gigantic Rock'n'roll sign) 6. The dude on the left (With the plain beige acoustic guitar who looks like he's lost and randomly walked onto the stage)

1. Bonehead (LEGEND) 2. The drummer (Like him a lot and decent backing vocals) 3. The bassist (Like him, musically ok, backing vocals sometimes off) 4. The lead guitarist (Seems pretty decent but very shy or at least doesn't put himself forward) 5. The keys dude (Never noticed him) 6. The dude on the left (Not keen, maybe got better..but still not really up to the job)

Get rid of Jay and I'm happy.

I've seen Liam and his band twice and each time they didn't sound very good in my opinion.

They've been better as of late, mainly because... B O N E H E A D, the one and only. Jay... Mostly awful. How many times can he blow the intro to RRS?? Wish Bonehead could replace him. Drew on the bass..great bass work, backing vocals spotty, but better at the 02. Drummer is fine and looks like he has fun. Keyboard guy is serviceable and unless LG can dig up the Shroud he'll do. Lead guitarist, workmanlike and doesn't get in the way.

If Bonehead replaced Jay then it'd be fine. It wouldn't surprise me if Dan and Drew are better guitarists than Jay and they could just swap around. Jay did play bass in Beady Eye after all.

I don't know anything. But.
1. The drummer seems to have fun. Thought about that during Morning Glory from the Ritz show. 2. The guy who grunged up Morning Glory with his vocals on that awards show 3. The dude who looks like a stretched Noel and doesn't want to move a muscle incase someone takes a photo mid-motion and he will look weird.

They’re ok. They sound like what they are, a couple guys from other bands and some session musicians. They lack a spark and a clear leader to drive them to get better They did sound a lot better the last couple shows with Bonehead. Not sure if that’s just because he fills in the sound or because they play better when he’s there.

Jay has been alright recently to be fair. The band is sounding better overall and always improving. Bonehead's involvement is always welcome.

Drummer, bassist and guitarist are fine. Jay butchers most solos. The keyboard player is good.
But I feel harsh criticising as they're all clearly very competent musicians. But they just don't elevate the songs in any way.
Going to see Liam is like karaoke. I mean that in the greatest way possible. It's a great night/day out and I'm gutted I haven't got a ticket (yet) for November. But the band don't add anything to any of the songs. When they have tried to, they've unfortunately made it worse.

They all seem competent enough and to give credit where it's due they all kicked ass on Unplugged and the recent Manchester show.
That being said they were HORRID during Glastonbury, had I been Liam I would've sacked the lot of them right there. They definitely let Liam down that day IMO.

His band is ok. They are hired guns. All very young which helps the image of the show for the better in my opinion. They aren't exceptional in anyway but get the job done. I wasn't keen on the one guy doing backups vocals, he was just ok and they had him up too high in the mix. Don't get near Liam's vocals buddy.

Jay: Improving of late but still crap
Mike: Does his job and is generally true to the Oasis songs, I like him a lot
Drew: Does what he needs to do although his backing vocals are awful. The main thing that annoys me is how he plays the bass in the intro to Rock 'n' Roll Star, it's fine but I'm too used to Guigs/Andy's version to not notice a difference
Dan: I really like him, probably the most passionate member of the band and is getting better at sticking to tempo
I don't even need to give an opinion on Bonehead cos we all know he's a fucking legend

They were a lot better on Unplugged and the Manchester gig. Seemed like they had been practicing as a band more and had more energy. Bonehead helps tremendously (obviously) and the drummer helping with backing vocals now, adds to a more powerful sound overall. I hope they keep getting better if he's not going to make changes. Agreed they were mostly shit at Glastonbury.

They all seem like 'players' to me, rather than musicians, if that makes any sense. The drummer is okay, and the best thing is how they've gone out of their way to recreate stuff like the intro to Some Might Say, better than Oasis ever played it themselves. So there is that.

Bonehead (pretty solid rhythm guitarist) Drummer (getting better, like him as a musician) Bassist (most talented of the bunch) Keyboard dude (meh) Rhythm guitarist (pretty talented) Lead guitarist (He's ok)
Overall, great band, they need to get a bit tighter.

Watch videos of Beady Eye playing Oasis songs and then watch Liam's band play them. It's pretty clear that Liam's band, even after 2+ years of playing together, just aren't good.

I'm a bit worried about how 'Gas Panic' will sound live. What made that song sound so amazing in 2000-2002 was the lineup that performed it.

Hope he takes the backing singers and a few additional musicians on strings/horns with him on Tour. Adds another layer the sound, especially the female vocals!

I don’t mind them, and I think they get a lot of criticism but at the very least they serve Liam’s voice very well. For that, it’s better than anything post-97 Oasis for him in my opinion.

Oasis mkII were brilliant live. I like Liam's band by the way, I think they've come a long way and are much better than the first time around.
