wow - Liam looked in that jacket like a fat ex -rnrstar, who can't sing anymore but was forced to perform in front of paid kids, who haven't heard his name before and were expecting to "dance" for a pop act who has 2 billion streams on spotify

Yeah, this wasn't exactly superb but he's going to be brilliant at tour, that's for sure. I'm loving the hairstyle though.

I do have sympathy for Liam sometimes. I did Noasis for a year and even doing 2-3 dates a week took its toll on my voice, some nights I would be bang on it and the next for no reason at all I'd be struggling to hit any notes even though I hadn't done anything different. It's very frustrating. We've got to take in to account that he struggles with Hashimoto disease as well.
As long as he is giving us more good than rough performances these days which he is - at his age, I'm very happy.

The “new” award was created because he was shoehorned in by Warner as part of some kind of deal. He was clearly uncomfortable to be there, it’s a rubber stamp exercise and he took one for the team, as he has done before and will do again under the kinda contract he has.
They were only back home from the US tour earlier in the week, straight into rehearsals and then abandoned plans cos Warner click their fingers.
Despite all this he stood up and threw everything he had at it. Admirable.
And check this, for Wonderwall a crowd from the audience (the ones who were planted at the front) were supposed to run onto the stage and get involved, it was rehearsed but dropped. Thank fuck!
Also, was that the first time Bone has played on a non-Oasis track?

Think possibly his shittest haircut since going solo. Liam...sack the stylist NOW.

Also, was that the first time Bone has played on a non-Oasis track? I believe so yes. Every other performance he's rotated on and off stage. I went back to check if he was actually playing during Once (since it was a shortened version, I thought maybe he was just waiting to jump in on Wonderwall) but no he was strumming on Once as well. Could this mean Bonehead becomes a permanent member of the live band? We can only hope. If he does, he needs to get some more jumpers.

I quite liked his jacket but only Liam could pull that off.
I'm also pleased he got the recognition he deserves.
He's had better performances ( sounded like he had a cold during the acceptance speech) but this was about the award.
47 and the coolest man in the building.

I think this is the first time we've heard him do Once without the vocals being touched up, right? Obviously if you're at a gig you're getting it raw too. so yeah pretty rough...but whatever, it's still got balls!

You have to be deaf if you think this is a 2009 level performance or even the Olympics, only thing they have in common it's the nasal tone, but the tone ain't even on the same level of bad as in those performances. It's far from ideal, and he has sung a lot better this cycle, but considering the hassle igotflair mentioned, it's more than serviceable. This "off" gig is better than Liam's best gigs, vocally wise, in the 2005-2014 period.

Quite impressed a show like this with all these young upstarts made quite a big deal over Liam. So good to see.
But the performance wasn't great, Wonderwall was better esp when everyone started singing.
And he really needs to grow his hair!
Looks much better for it.

Fucking hell, you lot.
It's either "omg sounds like Maine Road!!!!!!!" or "it's fucking shit he can't sing no more ahhhh!!!!!!" with you people. The less said about the twats that only show up to comment on dodgy performances, the better.
It was an average awards show performance. Neither memorable nor embarrassing.

He should actually borrow Noel's stylist, who's found him a perfect age-appropriate haircut that looks very cool nonetheless. Enough of the wellend look. It doesn't even look cool on Weller himself.
