... I'd love to have seen your comments if Noel had a song called "Glimmer" đ Excellent! That's a brilliant tune. Noels vocals are smooth as butter đ

Total sales: As You Were - 398,996 Who Built the Moon - 284,632 I suspect Liam's newest album will sell just under what Moon sold, considering it debuted with a lower number.

Total sales: As You Were - 398,996 Who Built the Moon - 284,632 Interesting post. Not sure the origin or meaning behind it. Surprised you didnât compare it debut to debut record. But youâre not gonna do that. Doesnât illustrate what you want.

It shows albums released at the same point in market time. And that my friends is the only possible fair comparison. Make better music. It's not the same at all. The context for both are totally different. One is a highly touted, long awaited debut, the other is an artists 3rd album. Not comparable. Many of us said that Liam would face a drop off for album #2 and he did. Just like Noel. Expect it to follow a similar arc between both acts.

When Noel had all the good will from the Oasis fans. Sold more than Dig Out Your Soul I think....

Is that number real though? That seems really really high. He did about 900,000 in the UK which was totally unexpected. Kinda a phenomenon. I figured it would do around 300,000. Is Noel really picking up another 1.6 million from around the globe? America basically gave him zero. Always dubious of wiki numbers or random articles without a reference. I found a lot of the DBTT figures to be complete BS.

Itâs pretty close anyway. I just checked and Dua Lipa has only sold 1.2m albums! I may have to revise my opinion that she is better than Noel!! X

X The biggest markets for music sales are America England Germany Japan We know about 900K from England. Probably under 50,000 for America. Letâs say 250,000 by the Axis powers. Thatâs still a ton of missing record sales to account for. I just donât buy the 2.5 million figure. Hope Iâm wrong.

My point still stands though: Noelâs debut was a sales monster, unmatched by either brother before or since. X

Damn. Noel fans are hurt bad that Liam is #1 Not at all. Go Liam Go! I just find it funny when people compare the sales success of AYW to MOON. Totally different scenarios. Much better to go album by album. But they donât wanna do that because it doesnât prove their âpointâ. But like so many of us have said, Liam, like Noel before him, will see a sales dip on albums 2 and 3 and whatever happens beyond that. Itâs just the nature of the biz. Granted a phenomenon could always take place. But that is rare.

First album against third album is not a fair comparison. Both have great sales. WBTM will be platinum soon too.

Noelâs debut was always going to sell well he took the initial oasis fan base with him plus heâs deemed one of the greatest songwriters of all time so was bound to happen had Liam done the same at that time I think heâd have shifted same under his own name ..2.5 million has been well documented it sold steadily for 2 years

Remember though.....LAG did go first and Oasis fan basis didnât really follow.
