How many singles does the album need? It needed a couple of singles properly done. Not for singles themselves but to drive the album. Like many artists he prob dropped too many too soon before the album. It’s an overall music trend.

How many singles does the album need? It needed a couple of singles properly done. Not for singles themselves but to drive the album. Yes. Properly releases. "Once" the biggest song of the album was only a "release it now for the fans"... Its the fav LG song in spotify n youtube NTIFU wasnt a release. Did anyone noticed something? Warner before the album release was saying that near christmas it could be a proper release to boost the album sales in another level... But no proper video n promo. mtv video is great n also have the lyric video but that work more for the fans The river was also a release for the fans.n glasto. No radio friendly. So far shockwave n one of us bought attention as proper releases

This album is doing exactly what sophomore albums do. No great shock here. Unless there is a massive Spotify hit tucked away on an album this is what happens to rock acts.

I'd think that's too generous no? It might be generous it might not. It did around 107k world wide in first week of which 68k was in the Uk. If we add another 63k sales from the Uk we get 170k. The rest of the world must have done easily another 30k+ Since the first week and that is being very conservative with numbers. Which is a minimum of 200k.

Just because it don’t stay in the charts everywhere doesn’t mean no sales , I’d easily suggest bits between 250/300k

uk total
27 - 25 - 136,800 - 136,800 - Liam Gallagher - Why Me? Why Not. - 03/10/19 - 1 (13 wks)
#34 (13th week)sold around 5.400 copies
that week seems like its gonna jump around 10 places n land close to the top20 with good sales
i believe the desicion not to promote the album (a special release, an event, a video or something) in the christmas market it was a lost opportunity ....but anyway...so far so good

What more can he do that doesn’t seem like over kill. At this point you either like Liam or you don’t. i believe you are totally wong. it doesnt work like that, music business or the mainstream audience.for examble everybody n i mean everybody knows ed sheeran n have his album, an album that sold millions. suddenly you see an appearence/event on tv or a promo n his albums starts to sell even more. a promo for an album can bring back attention n make mainstream audience buy it again n again thats how it works.best example that week for Liam Gallagher...A s it Was documentary n a low price for the album made WMWN to climp again high in the charts . WMWN returned to top 10 in itunes, with deluxe edition also high and even AYW returned in the charts with both editions (also high)!!!! thats how it works. WMWN is an excellent album, definitely a successful one that imo -if the promo is keep going- can still sell a lot or even shitloads! that week i expect to see WMWN to return in uk top 20 albums chart (and AYW to make probably also a return in the charts top100 or close). btw AYW sales are massive!!more than 400.000 copies already in uk n still selling!!!!

There is a huge huge difference. Ed is 28. In his creative prime and peak. One of the kings of the Spotify generation. Liam is 20 years older than him. He’s now in the sick boy unifying theory of life era. Nothing wrong with that. Happens to everyone. WMWN was never going to sell as much as AYW. Just like CY was never going to outsell HFB. The anticipation for a debut album can never be underestimated. His overall sales for this album are very very good. But I don’t think if Liam drops another single or another video is gonna alter this albums fate. Like I said, at this point you either like Liam or you don’t.

You can't release too many singles. All promotion is good promotion. As to your other point, I don't see it. Liam can still get young fans, just as Oasis did in 2016. If liam has another top 30, You can't know will hear it on the radio and who will like it.
