I don´t know if this has been posted here, but today i´ve just read that Wall of Glass was certified Gold last August. Impressive, what a big hit for Liam. Last Gallagher´s song certified Gold is "Little by Little". So no songs of DBTT, DOYS, Beady Eye or Noel with such an honour. Gold: +400k total sales It deserves it, what a banger it is!

I think people kinda forget how big a top 40 singles is. The fact that Liam has had multiple is great. Especially since he is way past his commercial prime, and those singles have been out for months. Anyone who isn't chuffed to bits with Liam having scored two #1 albums and multiple top-40 singles after where his career was with Beady Eye is either expecting far too much or simply doesn't want Liam to succeed.

Damn, I wonder if Jools Holland will get it back up the charts. He's got a long way to go to get near AYW sales.

I'd kill to have an album in the top 200 of any country. #17 after multiple weeks is great, of course it's not selling like as you were, that was a long anticipated debut.

For both brothers. The hype debut is always gonna sell the best compared to later albums. Lot of noel bashing for declining sales after HFB but now it’s happening to young William here. Nature of the beast. Doesn’t mean either is struggling, in decline or a backlash.

I do think Liam has a better relationship with millennials than Noel. Notice how Liam drops a song on youtube and gets hundreds of thousands if not millions of views right away. Noel had around 70,000 after a day. As far as youtube and spotify go, Liam is killing Noel. Not in actual record sales though.

When I was a teenager listening to work I definitely didn’t think so. I don’t take much stock or brag about Gallagher brother streaming numbers or views. When you compare them to other artists they look pathetic. For example Coldplay have like 10 songs with 500 million streams. It’s nuts.

I'm not saying Liam is doing particularly well, just better than Noel. Also, as a teenager I can confirm that liking Miley Cyrus or something is not as cool as liking Oasis.

#32 - 31 - 99,750 - 1,105,250 - Oasis - Time Flies : 1994-2009 - 26/06/10 - 25
(btw, its the #12 best selling record released in 2019 n thats something really impressive with only 5 wks in the charts, showing how big s Liam's name in uk music map the last 3 years)

5 top75 hits with AYW 4 top 75 hits with WMWN so far most of them with no physical release that could easily add a few more places to the top (LG is a big seller in physical form always) and with split releases (physical-stream). Wall of glass could easily be a top 20 dare to say a top 10 hit if its first release (stream-physical) was in the same day. FWIW and Once could easily be top 20 hits if they had a proper release (physical form) top 75 isn't a hit, I'd say top 40 is where I'd count something as a hit.
