Coming from the US and just have some questions hopefully someone can help with.
Sorry if this thread is misaligned with some other thread it should be in =(
Is the Cardiff gig on the 11/11 considered the 'kick off' to be at?
Is Cardiff a safe area to be a wandering tourist?
What air port is best to fly in?
Best area to book a room?

There's better cities on this tour, unless you're dead set on going to the first gig

There's better cities on this tour, unless you're dead set on going to the first gig I see the o2 show, but is that a good venue to see him? I did not want the vibeless large venue type of show.. however its the best logistically to get to from the states. any other suggested dates?

Would recommend going to Manchester or London at least if you're coming from the US.
Cardiff's fine, and a decent city, but if you're flying in it'll take a while to get there - Cardiff airport isn't well serviced and the nearest from there is Bristol and again, not sure how many flights they'd have from the US if any, so you'd have to go into London or Manchester anyway.
Manchester you're obviously seeing him in his home city, and London's London.

If I come and make a weekend out of it and stay in manchester, is there enough to do there in terms of tourist entertaining themselves. Doesn't have to be sight seeing.

It's the city of Oasis, The Stone Roses, The Smiths, Joy Division/New Order, Happy Mondays, Hacienda etc etc... From that alone you can walk around the city centre and see where the Boardwalk used to be, walk past India House where Noel wrote Live Forever and Rock 'N Roll Star amongst others. If you're into The Smiths head down outside Salford Lad's Club and recreate a famous picture, and if you get in touch with them before you go they'll let you in and you can check out their Smiths room. Manchester has loads of good bars - take a walk round the Northern Quarter (slightly more hipster part of town but very popular) and see what takes your fancy. Also that time of year the Christmas markets will be open which is bustling and lively, definitely worth checking out.

Manchester is a great city. I like Cardiff as well but definitely do Manchester.
Suppose it depends what you're into. London has a LOT more tourist attractions as you'd imagine and if you've never been before there's plenty to do, but I really like Manchester.

Don’t overlook Dublin! Definitely worth considering. Amazing gigs, gutted I’m not going there on this tour.

I did a lot of traveling between the states and the UK. There aren't any direct flights to Cardiff, there are two main ways coming from the states either through Dublin or Amsterdam. I dated a girl just outside of Cardiff so I have been there plenty of times.
Cardiff is nice. You got the castle, few museums and Cardiff bay(I think they still do a Dr who's tour). Nightlife is ok.
You can do a day trip to Bristol or bath.
With the day trips there is enough to do for a long weekend.

I’m coming from Texas to go to the Dublin gig because I know it’s going to be an otherworldly atmosphere. Seen Oasis/Beady Eye/Noel/Liam almost twenty times, but only throughout the states. Never been more excited about a concert in my life.

I really am pissed I can’t make it.
