The info about the new EP is a bit confusing First he says "end of september" and then "is going to be out by the time we get on tour with the Smashing Pumpkins". So maybe we will get the first song early August and the full EP by the end of september
It's also not clear to me if it will have 3 or 4 new songs
"It’s more acid house than disco. But the other tracks on the (next) EP — one of them sounds like the Smiths, one of them sounds like the Stone Roses, and one of them I don’t know what it sounds like. "

Lines up with more equal time between the 3 EPs. Mid August is way too soon.

At least he cleared up why he didn't allow Oasis music in "As It Was":
"Oh, I turned it down, yeah. If some f—ing moron is going to make a film slagging me off, calling my wife a c—, after trolling my kids on the Internet, after being a filthy little misogynist sexist prick who cannot keep his f—ing mouth off Twitter, and then call me to ask me a favor, I’m like, “Wow. You are as dumb as you f—ing look.” I don’t give a f— what music you have in your film; you’re not putting any of mine in. It’s like, “Can I ask you a favor?” “No, you can’t. Go f— yourself.” You’re not using my songs to sell his f—ing film. Have you seen it?"
Anyone still in the "Oasis reunion is possible" camp? If so, you should probably seek help for being delusional.

But the other tracks on the (next) EP — one of them sounds like the Smiths, one of them sounds like the Stone Roses, and one of them I don’t know what it sounds like. " It is. Would say full EP at a point in September. Noel has previously mentioned that the next EP would have a Mancherter sound and that the Smiths were an influence. He is probably picking things from his favourite Mancherter bands/sounds. I think he like A Guy Called Gerald's Voodoo Ray that was quite popular in the Hacienda/Madcherter. So, there may, or may not, be a bit of it as well. Manchester doesn't really have a single specific sound. The bands and sounds are very varied there is dance music, guitar bands, etc. It could be said each "generation" incorporate something of the previous, even if in its own special way. Fans surprised by Noel's dance phase or more experimental sounds probably forget he was in Manchester when the Hancienda and dance culture come and that he colaborated with The Chemical Brothers (Liam with Death In Vegas) and composed a track, Teotihuacan, for the X-Files soundtrack. Noel always reached out beyond Oasis standard big songs.

What is this dudes deal? How can he be so fucking miserable? He’s written some great tunes in the past and is rich as hell and he’s flat out miserable. Dude needs to get on some Prozac or weed stat. Lighten up. Talkin shit on Taylor Swift? Weren’t u just giving out to Liam for picking on women? Say what you want at least swift writes her own tunes. They must have some substance bc Ryan Adams made them sound great. Also how about showing the pumpkins a bit of gratitude for bringing you out on the road. Dude acts like he’s above them or some shit. Check it kid, ur the opening act. You can’t sell out an amphitheater by ur self. That’s facts fella. Ur a 1500-3000 seat theater act here in the USA nowadays. Get a grip on reality. Stop trying to blow bono in every interview. Ur dance phase or whatever is shit. Write some proper tunes on a guitar. You wrote some Smith’s inspired tunes huh? Trust me, no you fuckin didn’t. Guy says he’s not trying to dress like a 19 year old? Who were those fuckin nerds he was rap rockin with in the black jacket a few months ago. He’s 52 and playing back up for a shit linken Park. This dude is bitter as fuck for like no reason. Don’t people usually mellow w age? I’m Noel, get off my lawn kids grrrrrrrrrrr. This fuckin guy.

Talking shite once again. He's,disappeared so far up his own arse...calling recent rock n roll unsophisticated music for unsophisticated people, a dig at the Brother obviously. While he's only making 80s inspired semi dance tunes, not that new or sophisticated either is it. I still like some of his recent tunes, but in interviews he's become another man.

As for the rest, cant say i'm interested in all the compulsory feuds with the star of the moment, typical fake war to make headlines.

They both use the same pre-scripted digs in every interview tbh. It's like politicians using agreed attack lines in the press. Boring.

"sometimes hilariously unvarnished outspokenness"
Didn't feel that hilarious in this interview.

Any plans to check it out, just for a lark? Uh, no. I couldn’t think of a reason that would make me want to watch it, considering that every time I see that c—’s face, I want to f—ing take out a McDonald’s with a machine gun. So I don’t think I’ll be going to the local cinema to watch him rewrite f—ing history (about) what a great guy he is; what a wonderful family man. I’ve got better things to do with my time. You should go and see it, though. Apparently there’s a lot of jogging in it. I don’t know about you, but I like to see my favorite rock stars jogging. Don’t you?
Ouch!

I have to say his comments about Capaldi come off as nasty.
Looking forward to the next EP though.

He probably means the lead track, tbf, which would make sense and fit in with the same timeline that BSD had (6 weeks before the actual release of the EP).

He's kind of right here though. His new stuff really isn't that different to what came before in some sense. It was hinted at.
"Well, good. When I do tracks that are vaguely — you can put this in inverted commas — vaguely dance-orientated, if they’re using it as a criticism, they choose to forget (Oasis songs) “F—in’ in the Bushes” or “Go Let It Out” or (early Gallagher solo tracks) “What a Life!” or “Battle of the Mighty I.” All of these things have been derived from some kind of dance music. But I get my opinion from the crowd when I play every night, and people love it. If I was to go on an Oasis fan site, it’d be a different story. But I’m not trying to still dress like a 19-year-old, metaphorically speaking. I have moved on, and it doesn’t matter if people don’t like it, because I don’t give a f—. I like it; in fact I love it. That’s all that matters."

Got to say, he does seem particularly cranky in this interview.
The Liam stuff/AIW - fair enough. The Capaldi stuff does seem to have got over the line. He's turned into the Keith Richards that sat slagging everyone off in the 90s.
Tbf, that won't have stopped anyone's love of Rolling Stones. So guess it's just a cycle thing. I'm guessing I'd rather have Noel be a miserable twat than a sycophant.

The rest of the stuff was clearly him just being miserable on purpose. But that was a stupid comment.

How dare Noel react after ten years of literally daily insults every time the other bloke opens his mouth, introduces a song, or picks up his phone!? What a bitter old man! It's getting boring now! Noel needs to let it drop!
