Hello everyone. It's been a while but thought I'd come and say hi to those who may remember me.
Also wanted to tell you that I saw Noel last night in Inverness. Can't quite believe he came to the Scottish Highlands - but there he was. Did a brilliant set and was in great form. Voice great and I do like his backing singers although no Charlotte Marionneau. He was positively jolly! Kept commenting on the fact that it wasn't getting dark - the sun doesn't go down until 11pm around these parts this time of year. And being rude about Inverness Caledonian - very funny.
He's definitely very comfortable in his new role these days.
Good mix of new HFB stuff and Oasis stuff. Only complaint is that he is still finishing off with AYNIL. I love the Beatles and he does a good version - but a change would be good.
See y'all - take care

Great to see you back, our beloved horse lady! I'm so glad that you gotta see Noel last night and enjoyed the show. It's been a year since when I saw him (and met him again) over here. Off topic, but your fellow Scots talented Erland Cooper worked with Weller on his latest album and he just released his second solo album. matt and I have been talking about him on here. live4ever.proboards.com/thread/88558/erland-cooper-maalie?page=2Oh, and your other fellow Scots globe is still on here too. Still stubborn with beard. Take care Linnhe and give my best wish to your family! PS: Check Lucy Rose. You'll love her.

I was at the gig last night too, the crowd were fantastic from what I saw, no trouble. The queue for alcohol was terrible though, although that seems to be a common problem with big events in Inverness and the Highlands.
The setlist flows well, its a shame that Rattling Rose wasn't played. Noel clearly enjoys life being part of this band, every time I see them they seem stronger. He also seemed relaxed with the crowd and the weather was better than expected. All in all a great night!

It’s probably as far north as he’s ever played and such a novelty as I know the area so well. And what did he say about Caley!?

Hi Mimmi!
Glad to see you're still here!
Erland is a talented lad, is he not? I follow him a bit. Somewhere I have a picture of me with him at Belladrum. Enjoying Lucy Rose!
Good to know Globe is still around too.
I shall drop you a wee line soon.

Hi Matt!
Your sister lives in a lovely part of Inverness.
He said Caly were shite! At the end he wished them luck for next season because 'they needed it'!
Pretty sure it's as far north as he's been. He did say 'I'll see you all again.' So maybe he'll be back. I think he enjoyed it.
Good to speak to you again Matt, take care

I thought the crowd were pretty good too and Inverness was bouncing beforehand! I think someone fell in the river afterwards though. But happily there has been no bad news, so hopefully they were okay. There was a lot of police and fire brigade activity by the islands so hopefully they were retrieved. You are right about the alcohol queue. It was the same at the Gathering the week before (I was there too!) They really need to sort that out. Yes Noel just gets better!

Erland and you holding each other's shoulders and Simon Tong was standing next to you. Time flies, but nice things remain. See you soon again on here, Linnhe! xxx

Yeah, I heard two people went in the river, one fell and another tried to save them, but I never heard anything else. I heard the Gathering was the same, hopefully they will get it sorted by the time Liam comes, or Noel comes back
