I’m trying to figure out if I prefer WoG or Shockwave more.
Verses: Very good in WoG, do little for me in Shockwave. Edge: WoG
Bridge/pre-Chorus: Best part of both songs. Maybe this is a Wyatt/Kurstin specialty. WoG is catchier, Shockwave is pure authentic vintage Liam. So good. Edge: Shockwave
Chorus: WoG is just saying WoG and then a riff. While not bad at all, would have preferred a stronger chorus. Shockwave’s is good, nothing amazing. Edge: Shockwave
Middle 8: WoG doesn’t have one, Shockwave’s is pretty cool. Edge: Shockwave
Lyrics: Don’t care
Impact: WoG was Liam’s big return. I am associating Shockwave (especially the line “Brace yourself world, it’s about to blow your mind”) with the Toronto Raptors winning a Championship and the city going crazy. I’m loving that. Edge: Draw (even though right now it should be Shockwave based off me still buzzing from the win)
Other Notes: Both songs do sound very “produced to be a mainstream hit”.
I think Shockwave wins here, but we will see after it ages.

I just don't get shockwave. Only gave it a five now. There is no impact for me and I don't know why^^
Case maybe his vocals are not that good for me either.

For me it's a 10 out of ten! I guess thos song would've been a single out of every Oasis album since BHN! Who cares about lyrics? It's majestic pop rock!

It’s getting major airplay in the uk as is black star dancing but after hearing shockwave regular it’s a fantastic typical Liam track , far more so than wall of glass although that was more appealing for its modern fresh sound but shockwave sounds fresh but there are a few glitches they seem to have kept in the recording

Hope to hear this on the new season of peaky blinders Probably gonna hear it on media for a while. Shockwave sounds like it was composed by Warner Music for commercial utility.

Remember WOG being used by Sky too. Links with Warner? Sky and even now BBC heavily use Gallagher related material. Almost regardless of what it sounds like lol. Don't know if its to fit in with the "lad rock" appeal with football but Oasis (meaning of soul and many others), Noel (what a life, black star dancing) and Liam (wall of glass, Shockwave, Flick of the Finger) have all been used alot by both.

Not too fond on this one, sounds a bit forced imo, don't know exactly, it was the first single probably because it's the poppiest song on the album but not the best I guess.
