Liam loves The Who. Got alot of history with the band, My Generation and the Teenage Cancer Trust etc. Roger Daltrey's voice in his heyday (the mid/late 70's) was godlike as Liams was in the mid/late 90's. Plus they are the Mods.
It opens up awareness of Liam to sold out crowds in the USA. It's all good man.
PS I've said it before but listen to Quadrophenia if you've never done it kids! What an album!!
Liam’s band isn’t a band in the same sense that Beady Eye were though. They are employees on time limited individual contracts, some of them are highly qualified music academics but they can’t make decisions. One of them is the band manager; unfortunately all he can do is bring his frustration and concerns to Liam’s attention. I don’t think it helps that Liam usually travels separately, stays in a different hotel, and doesn’t really see them until he arrives at the venue. I think he needs to be more involved in the engine room rather than isolating himself from the band and crew on tour because I’m sure that’s where a lot of discussion takes place.
It’s ironic that the remaining other member of Beady Eye is the one that seems to be letting him down with his ability. I guess Liam just likes having him around.
Gem doesn't look very happy in the "Black Star Dancing" video. Which member of Liam's band is the manager? Is Jay going to be touring?
Booked a Liam + Noel double-header in Barolo (4 July) and Pistoia (8 July), kinda convenient that they're doing gigs in picturesque places not too far away from each other These Italian festivals at historical towns always appealed to me.
