Gutted to hear the news. Been getting back into the Prodigy after a long time over the past few months. Such a vital and integral part of growing up in the 90's.
Keith in the Firestsrter video is an image I'll never get out of my mind.
RIP Keith, taken far too early.

One of the big things about depression (my uncle had it an died at the same age because of the 3-4 hours of sleep allowed a night for truck drivers, many spiral out of their own control) is many won't talk about it until its too late.

Such a shame. Prodigy at the Isle of Wight was probably the most mental, frightening and exhilarating gig i’ve Been too.

They were the first band that came to Belgrade and Serbia after wars and sanctions. That night they played Breathe for the first time and Firestarter for the second time ever. Nobody wanted to come and play here but they came. Then they became heroes of Serbian youth. In the 90s they were like Sex Pistols for those new generations of young Serbians. Something I wish that Oasis became but Noel was too busy drinking champagne with Blair. In last 15 years, they were almost every year in Serbia and every show is remembered as legendary. There is also documentary about that show in 1995 video.vice.com/rs/video/koncert-koji-je-promenio-srbiju/5a313696177dd41bf808cd42Rest in peace

It's always sad to see people committing suicide, knowing they never found any cure for their disease.
At least he's now finally found the peace he needed.

Everything you mentioned there isn’t really early either - all from their third album onwards. Their Best Of is well worth checking out.

I'm pretty sure I am not the only one that had a rather narrow music taste - rock, metal, indie --- guys/gals with guitars - in the 90ies and was very much blown away by The Prodigy. "I like that. Why do I like that? Oh, who cares, I like that!" So they were very, very important in opening one up to a little bit of different music. I bought "Fat of the land" for my sister and ended up "borrowing" it all the time.
Horribly sad!

Ehh. Don’t agree with people using in memoriam messages to talk about themselves.
It’s basically Limmy’s joke, “Had the pleasure of meeting [name of deceased] at a charity do once. They were surprisingly down to earth, and VERY funny,” but with added victimhood complex to rake the retweets in.

Yeah, I thought it was a very tactless way of making someone else's death about him and how "misunderstood" he is.
