I don't think it's prime Liam. I find it as good as 2000 though, I think Familiar to Millions is very over rated in terms of Liams vocal. It's much better than what happened between 2004-2009 but he was never the same after BHN tour for me. What 2000 had in its favour was he still looked cool as fuck. Now he dresses like a (admittedly very rich) tramp or grumpy uncle at best. I hope he changes his look for the new tour. I think his baggy parkas are just as much to do with his body confidence as his choice of style so I get it. Navy and black also make it easier for him to blend into the background on stage therefore disguising his body lines. I totally understand why he’s doing this but it’s a shame because nobody gives a fuck about his body shape. I think he looks far worse skinny. I’m gonna try to catch up on the footage this weekend, I’ve only managed to see a couple. What was the highlight?

You must not be listening to the same thing if you think that’s kermit LG. He’s got power, tone, and range throughout the show. like i said, it's enjoyable. especially when you know how he sounded a few years back. but to say that it's as good as prime liam, is just soooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo wrong. soooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo! Look fucker, it’s personal taste. I didn’t say prime LG; and by late 90s, I meant early SOTSOG era. In regard to champagne supernova, he usually sung it in a rather high, nasally tone, even in his prime. Therefore, yes, I do believe that tune sounded just about as good as it ever has live during the union chapel gig.

He did what looks like an amazing gig, and raised a lot of money for charity. So what if his parka was a bit baggy...

Was just trying to offer a possible explanation to the post above. This place squeals my fuckin’ brakes sometimes. Which is why I hardly post any more. Always someone with 50p in their fuckin’ meter! 😞

The gig was absolutely incredible. Came down from Bristol without a ticket on the off chance that someone might be selling and hung around the venue all day (front and back). Finally did get a ticket just half an hour before the doors opened from a lovely woman who sold it to me face value at that.
The setting was really great, the setlist was spectacular. It really struck me as a celebration of AS YOU WERE and the last two years. The fact that so many songs off the album were played and Liam's parting comment "Thanks for last year, thanks for this year, have a great Christmas" would indicate it.
The sheer amount of Liam songs was amazing and to finally see I'm Outta Time, my favourite of his, live was unbelievable. I won't mention highlights because every song was a highlight.
To answer the question of whether it was being filmed or not, there were two cameras shooting for As It Was, one by the sound desk on a tripod for stage shots and one down the very front on the right hand side of the stage, handheld. I asked the camera man at the end of the gig what he was filming for and he said it was for As It Was. When I asked him "Are you STILL filming it???" he said this was the last night of shooting. Which makes sense. I can really see it being a great closing scene to wrap up the whole journey this has been.
But don't hold your breath for a full length release. Not video anyway. But if we can get that petition up and running that someone was talking about maybe we could get them to do a digital release for the charity a bit like Noel did with The Dreams We Have As Children back in 2009.

Anyway Cast No Shadow sounded amazing. I haven't heard all the songs yet though.

Go watch MTV VMAs, Knebworth, etc. (high/nasally tone). Thus, I prefer the way he sung it the other night. I know when SOTSOG was released, but also recall using the old message boards to download amateur recordings of shows in 1999 (pre SOTSOG).

Yep, Oasis did a few, small performances at the back end of 99’ debuting SOTSOG material at a couple of shows. Back to the training room champ.

A live version of Let's All Make Believe with that voice would be amazing.

Didn’t recall the length of the tour; sorry it wasn’t a sufficient enough sample size for you. You obviously just want to argue, so I’m done with the topic. My condolences to your family/friends for having to deal with such a c*nt on a a regular basis, by the way.

I hope it gets a proper release on the second album. Such a great tune... It is a nice little song but I hope we get all new stuff on the second album. Eh La is really bside material. The main thing going for it is that it's never been released but springs up very occasionally in gigs.
