This is, probably what happened (merging all the different reliablish accounts together). - Whiskey A Go Go gig goes wrong (as featured in Supersonic - crystal meth is consumed). This was the 4th or 5th gig on the US tour, not the 1st, as Noel claimed in the interview. - Noel leaves the tour the next day. Goes to San Franciso. Stays with that girl (as mentioned in Supersonic).. - Nick Abbot (I may have got that wrong?) traveled to San Francisco from the UK to get Noel. From there, they went on a bit of a 'fear and loathing' esque bended in Vegas. They met a couple their, the woman said Noel looked like George Harrison. Something along those lines - Noel wrote Talk Tonight and It's Good To Be Free during that period. Both of those songs, plus Half The World Away, were recorded in Austin, where Oasis had booked studio time. I watched the supersonic documentary only recently... I don't recall Noel claiming it was their first american gig, just him kind of "up playing" the importance of whisky a go go... Was Owen Morris touring with them at the time? He seemed to have been there going by the doco. I also re-watched the fear and loathing thing, I guess it was Tim Abbott. Apparently Melissa Lim knew him previously. I wonder if Noel is aware of to what extent she's been already identified. Everytime he talks about it he gives loose excerpts of the story, but never the complete thing. I remember some years back (maybe on the Russell Brand radio show?) he talked about the origin of the name of WTSMG even alluding to the fact that they had been calling each other for some time after that. I guess it's fair to say he does remember her, he does know her name, but doesn't want to go into ir and far less have people digging that up to its full extent. As private things go, I suppose that's fair enough. Anyway, many, many thanks to whoever Uploaded the full "once in a lifetime" thing to YouTube. We wouldn't have easy access to it anytime soon otherwise. Noel mentions in the 'Once In A Lifetime' vid that it was the 1st gig on the tour, but it definitely wasn't. They played Seattle, Portland, San Francisco and Sacramento before that, and potentially even Vancouver. So it was either the 5th or 6th gig. Owen Morris flew out to meet Oasis in Austin for the pre-booked studio time. And yep, Tim Abbott - not Nick!

Their first american gig was Wetlands, no ? That wasn't a full tour, though. They played at Wetlands in July 1994. Just the one gig. Their first full U.S. tour was in September - October 1994. They played the Whiskey A Go Go on the 29th of September (although that's off the top of my head). Their next gig was about two weeks later, as they had to cancel shows in Phoenix, Texas etc due to Noel's absence.

Bring on that vinyl single please. Looks like they played Supersonic, Dead In The Water, Wonderwall and Don't Look Back In Anger. They should have put that out as Noels 2018 RSD release. But that’s when Noel gets all “experimental” and shit. He hits us with endlsss remixes!

Just got a chance to watch this - what a great watch! You feel that when Noel is in his element like this, you could listen to him for hours, even though you might have heard the content before. The interspersion of the interview and gig I think works well - although I agree it'd be great to hear the gig on its own, specially that haunting version of Riverman - wow.
The timing of this recording is interesting, considering this was done in the middle of last year just before As You Were was released; Noel seems much less dismissive about Liam and Oasis in general, as well as being more recognising of the fans. Since then, I'm not sure there's been an interview in the same tone/nature - which makes one wonder, has he associated Liam's outbursts, specially on Twitter, with Oasis and hence when the subject is bought up in interviews, he's less enthusiastic about it?

Rightly or wrongly, I think Liam's jibe about the Manchester gig got to Noel. And let's face it, last October they were both at each others' throats. But, since the tour started, there hasn't really been much from Noel. And Liam's laid off a bit. They're both just doing their things and doing them well. And I agree on the review of the show. Thought it was well done.

Since both have released their albums and their tours have started, they've just got on with things, so as fans we're the true winners, getting 2 lots of Gallagher content

Hilarious how few people are singing along to Everybody's On The Run. Casuals pls leave this shit to actual fans. You should have to answer intermediate level questions before receiving the ticket.
Also, the reason that it's interviews over songs is because idiot creative types don't consider the audience. They just put their fedora on and want to show the world how creative they are with their artistic editing and such.

Noel didn’t seem to be having that direct-to-disc session, but damn he sounded good! And just as good on the live set. Maybe the best vocals we’ve heard from him yet?

I didn't like this gig, interviews over the songs were annoying and Noel has played better. I don't like how he's belting out some lines in acoustic songs. Calm down Noel, calm the fuck down.
For those that want to see it go to the big competitor of Google search and search for it in the video section. Some shady Chinese site has the full thing ready to stream.

Why haven't UK Netflix put this on yet? Seems daft making it a US exclusive.

Is this not available in the Uk yet? It’s in Noel’s sock drawer along with the AA sessions.

The full episode was uploaded on a Facebook group called Oasis Brasil, it was posted last year on August 28th and you can find it on the Video section. You need to be a member to access, but I believe it's easy to get in.
