It sounds beautiful, love this acoustic version. Thanks so much for this, this is a real beauty. Since it was never played live, I never gave much consideration to what it would an alternative version to the album would sound like, but it confirms to me the song is a stone cold classic. The question is where does this rank in Noel’s songs post-90s? I think there is an argument it could be his best in all honesty. It's one of his most honest in years. In fact, it might be the only Gallagher track I value the lyrics more than the actual music: "We can walk the streets of my life while they still remain".

In what way is something hosted on megaupload or whatever the cool kids are using these days any different to YouTube or Twitter? Megaupload is specifically for downloading material - technically youtube is just a streaming service and doesn't have an inbuilt download option. Youtube is seen as a way to promote music (it's not unusual for artists to upload entire albums on there) and encourage people to buy it elswhere. Megaupload is just seen as a way to pirate it. I think that's the main difference. The moderators of this forum know that Noel and Liam don't upload their music to megaupload so they can't be seen to condone any megaupload links. However Noel and Liam do promote their music through various youtube channels so youtube links are OK. It's not up to the forum moderators to be expected to know what youtube uploads are officially sanctioned and what are not. Youtube is (admittedly rather haphazardly) monitored by the record companies and they can search out copyright material via the titles/tags and even automatic song recognition software. Megaupload and other similar services can hide copyright material under nondescript names or bury it inside innocently named zip or rar files. It's pretty much impossible to monitor.

Hi,
Has anyone seen this yet? It's on Netflix but not available outside the US.
Interested to see what the setlist was for this one!

We've already spoken about this with webm@ster before this session got aired. Providing a direct download link to this session on this forum will cause a problem with Netflix. Uploading a video's on youtube, soundcloud etc is an another story as long as it doesn't have a download option. Hope everyone understand it and we appreciate your support. Cheers.

Now I've heard that, I can't help but think what a full band version with Gem (especially Gem) on those guitar parts could do. Would be a great encore opener I reckon.

I watched it last night. It was good, but I found myself getting bored with it because it was a whole album cycle ago. And Noel does tend to field the same questions the same way. I had heard it all before.
The highlight, obviously, was hearing the Chasing Yesterday songs acoustically.

Do you understand what downloading is? The fact that you're not actually saving a YouTube stream on your computer is of no consequence in copyright terms.

if people decide to upload this on facebook/twitter/youtube it concerns those media platforms and how they deal with their users and what they use their platform for. we can't provide this kind of material for downloads here as it will be a violation of proboards TOS.

Mr Netflix -or whoever holds the rights- will then claim for the link to be taken down, but where did they find it? on live4ever forum. if you see a youtube video, the origin will be youtube

Really beautiful version; many Noel songs sound great in a stripped down guitar-piano arrangement, it enhances their melodic quality (see the Jools Holland version of "Where did it all go wrong?" for instance).
This live version highlights how "While the song remains the same" is superior to "If love is the law".

I must say, as someone who has studied Piracy Laws (European primarily) in a professional capacity, I think the moderation of this forum has got quite regimental. I understand that the moderators are doing what they believe is their job, but to prevent a download of something already shared on youtube, preventing sharing of download links (even in PM's), etc, does not really ring true in 2018.
Supernova Heights Forum was worse, they now seem to have banned any members that does not fall in with their 'clique' and prevented re-registering.
We are here for our love of Oasis, Noel, Liam and music, surely that is what these forums were created for? I'm not trying to cause an argument in anyway and I wont be commenting any further on this matter, but I've been quietly watching for sometime and have been dismayed at how harshly people can be replied to for asking simple questions or sharing simple links/downloads etc, yet trolls are allowed to constantly post immature bile without any obvious repercussions. I appreciate all the time and effort every single person contributes to this forum, I still believe it is one of the best music communities in the world, I just think their is room for manoeuvre. The odd shared download link will not get this place shut down, especially on Special Occasion's such as the 'Once in a Lifetime sessions' especially if its a converted audio version as Netflix has simply provided a video version, not an mp3/flac version, and each poster is responsible for their own actions.
I'm sure being a moderator on these forums is not easy, and I certainly wouldn't like to be one.
Anyway, enjoy your day guys.

It's not like webm@ster and us, moderators are bitching to ask everyone on this forum not to share official materials. We got a warning from iTunes regarding uploading audio/video files from iTunes Festivals in past. If we ignore those warning, this forum will be shut down without a notice. As I already said, us, moderators are trying to keep this place alive. That's our job. and I hope everyone on this forum will cooperate. Cheers.

Supernova Heights Forum was worse, they now seem to have banned any members that does not fall in with their 'clique' and prevented re-registering. Pish. Folk stole links from that forum without giving any credit whatsoever and claiming as their own. How would you like it if you spent hours uploading terabytes of media, audio and video in the best quality available only for it to be stuck up elsewhere? There was also more than one case of people signing up only for the bootlegs, didn’t even have the decency to say thank you or share something back if there was a dead link. It is the same case here on L4E, and has been for years I may add... It’s pretty much the exact same people who constantly share and reupload, fix broken links, rip the music and contribute to demo collections etc without the proper thanks. Clique my arse.

Have just seen it on YouTube.. Very interesting and great performances. Apparently from two sessions, one is the gig for a few fans and Supersonic, Wonderwall and DLBIA live from some studio.
One thing I didnt expect was a bit where Noel plays and sing Dead In The Water

When explaining talk tonight Noel did not mention Melissa Lim or San Fransico. He talks about how it was based on his trip to Vegas. Now they could of edited that part out to be fair.
