There's a few good jokes that could be made with the title of this thread; I don't know those jokes because I'm not a pervert.
Thanks.

Apart from not getting MWTBM (or the whole arena set for that matter), I don’t understand the negative comments - the mix is good, it’s shot pretty well, NG seems in a good mood, the crowd is into it... can’t really ask for much more. I’m glad we got this one.

Ah that could be - I started watching at LBL, will be interested to go back later and see what the first few were like. Funny - I wonder what the forum’s reaction would have been 12 months ago if someone had suggested that The Right Stuff would be one of the centerpiece songs on the next tour. I’d never have believed it. It’s great that they captured it now that it’s really come into it’s own on stage, too.

Ugh. If he's only doing 15 songs I really don't think there's space for Fort Knox and the Right Stuff. Also, the versions of Half the World Away, Go Let It Out and Don't Look Back In Anger he's doing at the moment are pretty shit.
I dunno, he barely plays a part in the Right Stuff so I guess that's his way of giving his band their moment in the limelight. Nice touch, but not one to do at festivals.
It's the most musically capable band Noel's ever been in, playing the worst set Noel's ever played, imo.

Fort Knox sounded amazing when I went to see him a month ago, but now you couldn't hear the keyboards/synths (you know, the thing that actually MAKES the song) and Ysee really had an off night I think. When I saw them I was very impressed by her and her singing and while watching this festival I sort of wished her away.
I thought the crowd responded well to the new songs and the Oasis ones all sounded well. I just think the acoustic DLBIA is a bit boring. No room for Half The World Away? Excuse me. Have you even SEEN the response by the crowd? I do agree on The Right Stuff though. It might be great musically, but it's kinda long. It's alright for proper gigs, but it has no place on a festival.
Shame he didn't try anything new, but that was to be expected.

I knew he wouldn‘t play other songs. But he kicked the wrong tracks from the usual tour setlist -> riverman, if i had a gun or dead in the water. For the festival season he should also play a electric version of dont look back in anger

Funny seeing Noel trying to be quirky with his scissor player only to be followed on BBC 2 by Bjork. Now THAT is how to be weird. Always been a fan of hers but she is mad as a box of frogs.

No room for Half The World Away? Excuse me. Have you even SEEN the response by the crowd? Not what I said. My point is that the version he's playing is shit. He's turned a beautiful, quiet, introspective song into a horn-laden, emotionless mess. It's fucking horrible.

When I saw them I was very impressed by her and her singing and while watching this festival I sort of wished her away. The ascending/descending melodic line just after the bass comes in at the beginning (which was inaudible on the broadcast) is *I think* on tape. You could hear the parts Mike was actually playing reasonably well, but I don’t think the parts you’re referring to are actually live, when he does it on stage. I think it’s a shame, because there’s an opportunity to do something good there (have Gem play along with them or something, no reason he needs to be doubling Noel’s part), but they’re very much following the U2 model for that arrangement.

Beatles as a finisher....Jesus..I waited sooo long to see his new stuff in visual concert form.and WHAT A LET DOWN...let's hope Liam does the name proud tommorow

Honestly, unless it's an all-acoustic set similar to TCT or the STC Tour, he should always do DLBIA electric full band....

I just got off of work and for every good comment there are two negative. Surely it wasn't that bad ! I live in the US so I don't think I'll get to see it for a little while.

Oh I don't know how they do it, and I don't care if they use samples for it, but it doesn't sound right when you don't hear those samples.

I don't think the performance was bad or anything, just that the set is boring and/or annoying. It's like he feels that he has to make use of all the musical talent he's got on the stage and has forgotten what put him up there in the first place.
The South American leg of the Chasing Yesterday tour is peak Noel solo to me.

It wasn’t a bad gig last night but it wasn’t one of the best. The sensationalism in the BBC report is shocking: www.bbc.co.uk/news/entertainment-arts-44268682I don’t believe for a second he was having a dig at Liam. All he asked was if it was the first night in Perth or the second night and then said “actually, who gives a f**k”

Saw it. Missed more songs from the new album but hey, it was little more than 60 minutes. Anyway, I think he should go past the 120 minutes mark in his regular shows. He has too much material to choose from and a very very good band behind.
The song I liked less was Fort knox. Im all for Noel experimenting but it sounds a bit out of place with the rest of the material. About Heat of the moment and Dream on... they are good live but I don’t think they are that good for Noel’s standards. The rest was great.
About the band: Gem and Sharrock are miles ahead the former drummer and guitar player. Rowe and Pritchard were great as always. I like the voice of the keyboard girl. Ysee has some presence, not sold on her voice tho. Charlotte is a note of colour, she looked happy on stage and looked fit too.
The thing is, I loved the show but always I watch Noel live I get the feeling he could be one or two points better.
