I agree with Noel to some extent about his gripe about songwriters, but Liam can be excused to some degree considering he made a name for himself by being a frontman who sang songs made by another person. Albeit Greg Kurstin and Andrew Wyatt are different than Noel, Andy, and Gem, in that they've worked with so many different people at this point that their songs epitomize the charts to some degree, but if Liam has input on the songwriting process and the songs sound good, then I'm all for it. OT, but Ed Sheeran having a team of songwriters behind him does annoy me because his image is of being a singer-songwriter, through & through, but he's not. He should be writing the songs with some producer input, but he's not far from many pop performers today. It's just that he's more guitar-based, has some solid tunes (Castle on the Hill, Thinking Out Loud come to mind), and can actually play an instrument and sing. He HAD to have some input into AYW. Only a Gallagher could have come up with "the cops're taking over while everyone's in yoga."
No way Liam had any say in that lyric, it's obviously written by an American as it's about sleepwalking into a police state.
